Deadpool & Wolverine (Early Access)

Hey everyone! Hope you have been having a great week so far!

Deadpool & Wolverine was one of the most anticipated films of the year. I have been doing my absolute best to avoid spoilers and so I went into this movie knowing very little. What an INCREDIBLE experience this was! This movie was an absolute 10/10.

Synopsis: Deadpool's peaceful existence comes crashing down when the Time Variance Authority recruits him to help safeguard the multiverse. He soon unites with his would-be pal, Wolverine, to complete the mission and save his world from an existential threat.

I tried to take out as much of the music as possible, so just imagine a really high budget soundtrack playing during the silent moments! 😂

Keep in mind this movie takes place after the events of Loki season 2 if you were confused on why the TVA suddenly concern themselves with universes like Deadpool’s OTHER than just the sacred timeline like they did in season 1. I won’t get into spoilers of course but note that the TVA in this movie are after the events of Loki season 2 which I hope you get around to watching :)

I haven't seen those movies, but I figured that's why he was playing The Human Torch. It was a great appearance! They really fooled me at first into thinking it was Cap.

I was surprised that Vanessa had such a small role in this as well, especially since their relationship had seemed so solid.

I just didn't love this as much as I hoped I would. Part of it was that I'm just not that emotionally attached to any of the X-Men characters - even Wolverine - nor do I have history with every MCU/Marvel film. The other part was how much Vanessa was sidelined since both previous DP films have relied so heavily on how important that relationship was, even with DP going back in time to save her so they could be together and have a baby. I know I'm in a minority of folks who feel similarly but, then again, this film ultimately wasn't made for me, it was made for the hard core fans, and they certainly succeeded in that. Great performances all around, but it's the one DP film I'll never rewatch (outside of the occasional worthy reaction, of course).

HeyHeyJK

Well Chris Evans was in another life (I mean pre MCU) Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in the two first Fantastic Four movies ^^
