Lineal update #8!

Holy fucking shit how am I on update #8. I think this is the first time a video has ever necessitated an eighth update! I'll have to check that but I'm pretty sure that's the case, god damn.

Well the good news is this week has been insanely productive. I've made a shitload of progress, getting almost a half hours worth of new video and dialogue written. I'm just about to finish up Overeems post-lineal career, and oh my brothers and sisters, I stumbled across a fucking treasure trove of Overeem footage this week that I had never seen before. It's a perfect time capsule into early 2010's MMA and it's been an absolutely massive boost for the video as a whole. There's so many amazing scenes that have really just elevated the whole segment, in both comedic and serious terms, to the point where Overeem has almost become the main character of the video now that Fedor is over and done with.

So as it stands currently, the video covers (obviously) Fedor, which you've all seen, then Werdum, Bigfoot Silva, and Overeem. Every other video tapped out at 3 lineal champions so I've already outdone parts 1-3. I want to get the video done by July 4th weekend at the absolute latest, which gives me 4 weeks of work left, and I'm hoping I can get it all finished in that time. However I did consider that if I can't get it finished, then that would leave me with a setup for a kind of lineal special edition video, discussing the Francis Ngannou/Jon Jones era and that absolute state of Heavyweight as a whole today. I'm still committed to finishing this story in Part 4, but, as we all know, best laid plans and all that shite. Either way, you can count on this series being completed before Jones defends the heavyweight title again.

I also took some time while watching Rizin this weekend to make another promo poster, as you can see above! It wasn't hard, I mean have fuck all artistic skills so i basically just followed a tutorial on youtube and I guess it worked pretty well, as the results are pretty good if i do say so myself! Once I've finished touching it up and messing with the colours I'll upload a full res version for download. Apologies to any Japanese speakers among us for my google translate Kanji btw.

In other news, I finally hit 150k subs on Youtube! It feels like it's taken longer to get from 100 to 150k than it did to get from the first 2 or 3k to 100k which is weird. I'm pretty sure its taken almost a year now to go from 100 to 150k, but It's a nice milestone to achieve regardless of how long it took.

Anyway, that's about it for now, it's a 3 day weekend here so I'm gonna spend my extra time tonight editing and or writing.
