Lineal 4 - Update 1!

Good evening gang!

Welcome to the inaugural update for Lineal 4. This will likely the first of very, very many updates. My plan with this one is to wrap up the whole timeline, but that means covering more than double the amount of fighters I've covered in any lineal video to date.

So with this one, it may have to cook for a while longer than any other video to date, so just wanted to pre-warn you all, this one may require a Half Life 3 level of gestation. Only difference is, this will eventually release, whereas Half Life 3 will not.

It's been a slightly slow start, as I got caught up last Sunday/Monday with writing and editing the 12 minute long video on Conor's presidential aspirations. That was definitely an eye opening experience to say the least. While I obviously don't expect everyone to agree with me, and I knew full well going in I'd get hate comments for this one, I probably underestimated the sheer level of vitriol I'd see in the comments. I'm not gonna go too deep into it cause its online now and whats done is done, but all I'll say is some of it was so genuinely hateful I considered moving all my future videos to Patreon only. I stopped reading comments across every video for a few days, and kinda lost the drive to write/edit for a little bit, so took a few days to de stress and just catch up on videogames and stuff.

But, as Barrett in Final Fantasy 7 once said, nothin' stops this train were on. And Lineal 4 is now proceeding unhindered. Ive gotten the intro mostly locked in, and written the prologue and a kinda catch up segment too. So ground has been broken and once that happens, the rest will follow!

In other news, I did get to finally watch all 6 fucking hours of Rizin 50 this week. If you haven't got 6 hours to spare, here's one of the fights of the night:

Overall the event was more fun than pretty much any UFC event I can recall so far this year. I know obviously I'm a simp for JMMA and the talent level is definitely not as high as the UFC's, but I feel like fighters seem far more game in Rizin. Like the probability you're gonna see 2 dudes just say fuck it and start trading spinning shit is far higher than the UFC. Also, and I know this isn't exactly a blazing hot take or anything, but I'm just so god damn tried of the Apex. I opened Fight Pass to watch last nights card, and after seeing even fucking debuting 0-0 fighters in Rizin get full on fireworks and dance routines in a crowded arena for their walkouts, the sepulchral silence of the Apex made me turn it off almost as soon as i turned it on. The UFCs product has been absolute trash lately and I know I'm not the only one feeling it.
