Lineal update #2!

What's good Just Bleed crew! Welcome to the 2nd of what will no doubt be a scintillating series of video updates where i tell you how slowly progress is going!

So as of this evening, I have approx 22:47 of work completed. About 16 minutes of that is actual, completed video footage, and the rest is just bare voiceover waiting for me to add music and video to. It definitely feels like its been slower work than usual this time, i feel like i should be further along than I am currently, I'm not sure if that's just my imagination, or if maybe work is being slowed down by my day job or what. But to quote Max Holloway, it is what it is. Every 6 weeks I get put on a shift in work where I work from home for the whole week, and don't have to actually start working till 11am, so I'm hoping this week to get a good bit written each morning before work starts. Should help speed up the process a bit anyway.

I am quite happy with what's completed so far, even though I know for sure at this point that I'm going to catch so much shit for not actually getting to the point sooner by casuals who don't know my style haha. This is definitely a bit of a meandering start though, but there is a very definite point to all of it! The first ever heavyweight championship match, and therefore inaugural lineal HW championship match, was Severn V Coleman at UFC 12. And the more I read into UFC 12 the more crazy shit I came across, so instead of just starting the video with Coleman winning the belt, its more like, a cold opening, then an explanation of what exactly a lineal title means (as not everyone really know what it means), and then it delves into some of the history of UFC 12, and now after 16 minutes, its finally just getting to the event itself, and the Heavyweight title.  To be honest this was my plan from the beginning, it wasn't gonna be just about the fights, but the events they took place at, the fighters themselves, etc etc. I guess it figures I'd wind up making a completely non-linear video about lineal titles...

I was also trying my hand at improving some of my editing skills in this one, which has probably been part of the reason why things have taken longer than usual. I was experimenting with some new software that could do much nicer effects and overall make way more professional looking stuff, but then i remembered most of you don't watch these videos for production quality and fancy graphics, so ill probably cool off on that shit for a bit 😂 I dont want to ever get to a stage where writing and researching is taking a backseat to time spent making shit look cool.

Anyways! The new shirt design is coming along well, almost done but still some final changes to make:

I also am definitely NOT wasting precious editing time playing Tekken 8. And also not wasting my precious Tekken time by trying to customize Nina so that she looks like Valentina, instead of actually, you know, playing the game. Maybe one day ill do a Tekken livestream, if i can ever figure out how to setup my microphone so it blocks out the fucking god awful noise of this xbox one controllers buttons which sound like a fucking mechanical keyboard.

Did you all see the trailer for Roadhouse? Do you think Conor's acting abilities have increased or decreased since his peak as the Burger Kings apprentice?? All i know is I'm REALLY FOIRED UP. But not really, because it looked like shit. Why are almost all MMA movies shit? Speaking as someone who hasn't seen Warrior, allegedly the only good MMA movie, every one I have seen, has been trash. I know Roadhouse isn't strictly an MMA movie, but its got Burger King Lear in it, so fuck it, its going on the pile.

Thats it for now people, I hope you're all doing good and the new year has been treating you well so far.

Yours in just bleeding,

Nap

T shirt graphics looking sick mate!

I don’t get how the director of Roadhouse casts gross, despicable weirdo Connor then casts Jake Gyllenhaal—who is great at playing gross, despicable weirdos—as Johnny American square jaw good guy.
