Duxdate #1: Origins

Good evening everyone! Welcome to the inaugural Frank Dux video update.

Okay, so shit it's not that bad. But right now I'm still only in the researching phase, so unfortunately, I don't have a single sentence written, or piece of video laid down to talk about!

What I have done, is watch Bloodsport, and read more of Dux' memoir. All I have to say is: how the fuck did anyone ever think this guy was serious??

So while there isn't much to share there, one thing I can share with you right now, is something I have actually been writing over the last few months alongside the regular videos. 

Long story short: around January of this year a talent representative who used to manage some high profile fighters and worked for King of the Cage, and now reps some big name actors, got in touch with me. He was such a huge fan of Pride, and was so impressed with my Pride series he reached out. Since then we've been hammering out ideas for a series that, ideally, would get sold to a streaming service. 

It's at the stage now where I'm designing what's called a "show bible". Basically a bigass document you'd show to prospective buyers that breaks down your ideas, episodes, structure, etc etc. I must stress that the likelihood of this happening is ONE IN TEN FUCKING MILLION, so let's not get too excited, but obviously, if it were to happen, it would net me the kind of money that would mean I could potentially make video making my full time gig. 

So obviously I've been hard at work on that for the a while now, I wanted to keep it under wraps because I'm the anti Jon Jones: while he may believe that hippy nonsense about speaking these things into existence, I believe, saying these things too loud just alerts the universe to one more dream it hasn't shit on yet. But if the Dux video is a little longer in production than usual, I just wanted you all to understand why! And I apologize as I've been way too fucking slow responding to messages with you guys lately, but again, this is pretty much why. I'll fix that soon, I promise.  

Here's my opening page from the show bible. Other shows do goofy stuff like Stranger Things bible was designed to look like a Stephen King novel, so i figured, fuck it, ill make my opening page a Count Dante style advert (yes I used the Yakuza font for the title!)

On top of that, I have the podcast with SeanBaby upcoming this Wednesday (tho I have no idea when they'll upload it). And in a bizarre turn of events, the topic of discussion is: 1990s monster trucks. I'm serious. I know nothing about monster trucks. This is going to be weird.

Anyway, that's about it for now, hopefully I'll have something a bit more substantial for you next update!!
