New Movement Animations: Before/After

Here's a comparison of how the character looks in gameplay now compared to how it used to look. There are a lot of new animations as well as some new movement mechanics.

Some of the most noticeable changes are the walking/running, a new landing animation, a new rolling animation, a new hit animation, and some new idle animations.

The walking and running look way better now. The animations that Rodrigo made make the character look a lot more natural than the stiff animations that I originally had.

There's also a new animation for when the character lands from a jump. Before it used to just transition straight into either the idle or walking/running animations. The landing animation adds a bit of weight to the jump and looks much better.

Same thing with the new rolling animation. Before I had it so that the character would immediately transition to the idle or walking/running animations, just like the landing. Rodrigo suggested adding a rolling animation, and we both agree that it looks a lot better. It makes his movement feel more complete than it was before.

There's also a new hit animation. This is used either when the character dives into a wall, or when he gets hit by a powerup. The animation is completely different than what it was before.

And the last noticeable change is the new idle animations. These will activate when the player stands around and doesn't move for a while. Right now we only have two idle animations that it'll randomly select. I'm not sure if we'll add more, but it's always something we can think about later.

Everything else is pretty much the same, just slightly different. All of the animations are new, but most pretty much mimic the originals to some degree.
