CM Punk video - update! also rambling!

Evening everyone!

I hope all of you are doing well, just wanted to chat about the video and update you on how it's going now that i have a half hour or so to write before bed.

So we're currently up to about 21 minutes of solid footage now and the script is up to 3100 words long. When I say solid footage, I basically mean "material that I would be relatively happy to show the general public". It's coming along pretty well considering I thought it was initially only going to be about 20 minutes long 😂

I've been doing so much reading/watching about the WWE it's gotten me genuinely nostalgic for the days of the Attitude Era and Stone Cold, I had genuinely forgotten that 

A) I used to watch pro wrestling religiously in those days. 

There are only a handful of PPV's I've stayed up til 5am to watch in my entire life, (remember, the time difference means all these events don't start til around 5am Irish time..) Hatton v Pacquiao, Pacquiao v Mayweather, McGregor V Mayweather... and fucking Wrestlemania 2000 😂 

and that 

B) the WWE was insanely entertaining in those days.

Seriously there was some absolutely batshit storylines in the WWE in those days. Basically about 2/3rd of the WWEs content in those days would get them cancelled today 😂

But yeah, so it takes until around the 21 minute mark of the video, we finally get to CM Punk and MMA discussion. But I think you guys are generally cool with me going off on tangents so hopefully the first 21 minutes of me waffling about WWE will be entertaining to you. 

The final video might take a bit longer to come out than the usual 6-7 week schedule, as I took a 2 week break after Folly of Fake Martial Arts came out, and then I was sick for a week and got zero writing or editing done.  So please sit tight! Don't worry, i haven't had the almost obligatory "Youtuber breakdown", where it seems almost expected that at some point you have to post a 15 minute vlog detailing how your last video took everything you had out of you and you need to take some me time... blah fuckin blah. 

I Still love this stuff and am just absolutely pumped that people enjoy these videos. At this stage it is honestly like a second job (and I've probably said this before but forgive me repeating myself), but its a job I love, so it never feels like a chore or a struggle to fire up a script or my video editor, and most of that is just down to the interaction with you guys. I love hearing from you so if any of you feel like chatting please, just hit the DM button here and send me a message.  Even just to shoot the shit about MMA, video games, whatever. Actually, looking at the calendar here, it's almost 1 year to the day since I released the Edmond Tarverdyan video. That video was the one that "got me over", to use a pro wrestling term, and I still find it a bit crazy how popular it was. Looking at it now, I actually really think it sucks, there was little to no research done and the writing is mostly kinda, ok, i guess? And the vocals were bad too. But hey I guess people just love to see Edmond getting dunked on! I guess the point I'm trying to make is that given that it was somehow successful in spite of itself, I am eternally grateful you guys stuck around long enough for me to actually get better at this stuff, so thank you 😂😂

I actually just had to give another thanks to you guys for one more thing, so gather round my friend, it's story time. So as you probably know I'm a bit of an Alpha pussy. I'm the Apex Nerd, basically. There's an odd dichotomy in my pastimes in that I have an odd love of all things nerd yet my other biggest obsession is Just Bleed tier ultra-violence 😆 I've been a huge gamer all my life as if you couldn't tell from the countless gaming references in the videos, and since the early 00's, i was mostly hardcore into PC gaming,  and eventually building my own PC's. It's something I genuinely love, and the feeling of powering on a new PC and not having it explode? It's a beautiful thing 😆

The last time I had expendable cash to do that was 2015, before bitcoin came along and absolutely violated the PC hardware market. (if you don't know what that's about, long story short, bitcoin miners caused a shortage in PC hardware buy scalping everything they could get their hands on to build bitcoin mining rigs). Money has been tight in the Blownapart household for some time now to boot meaning I have had zero chance of building a new machine now in the last 7 years. A ridiculously generous Patron helped me out last December by giving me the funds to get the majority of a new machine, but I still couldn't afford to update the graphics card. And any time in the past i had scrimped and saved up enough money to be able to buy one, Biscuit would get in a fight and need a few hundred euro of vet bills which all came out of my new PC fund! That's not a joke, either, one time he got in a fight so bad the vet looked at us with pure disbelief on his face and was like "I've never never seen a cat get in a  fight this bad before", and there went my new PC money 😂

Well, thanks to you guys, I banked all my Patreon money for the last few months, and for the first time since 2015, i was able to finally buy a new Graphics card! I legitimately thought this was something that I wouldn't get to do again and it's all thanks to you guys and these videos, so from the bottom of my cold dead heart, thank you! 

Holy shit, I've been writing this for almost 2 hours, what the fuck. Umm okay so yeah, cliffs notes version, video coming along well, I'm recovered from covid, oh and i uploaded the Jon Jones video to Vimeo too!
