My first several trips to Japan were in the 80s. It was an amazing time. Generally, wherever I went I was the only gaijin. I felt like a celebrity. By the late 90s, with more foreigners visiting Japan, that had faded away. It makes me a bit sad, to see these buildings in disrepair but change is a part of life. C’est la vie.

2025-05-09 03:41:34 +0000 UTCChange is harder as you get older, the 80's were the best years for everything. Same you could not go inside, maybe as an urban explorer (lol) to capture the essence of the place before it is lost forever.
