snowpalm! this was originally gonna be for a gamejam but i forgot that the jam itself was horror related- oh well!! but i did this in about a month! 

ive had practice with thomsons dream game - Project1  and also a game me and my household has been working on together-plantet that i hope to be talking about soon on here too!

i want to apologize for not really making any posts on patreon itself for months- i tend to lazer focus on one site to update as well as art sites. not saying its an excuse

heres the charset

house chipset

outside chipset (also used for the battle map and the cutscene/intro)
it was so hard to animate the fuckin water with autotile/eventually just looping charset changes

alright with that out of the way- here was my initial game

i believe the switches worked in the sense theyd turn into smth else after you clicked on them, and it was just this map

my next update was a video of me playtesting- i did alot because i felt lost with my idea so i rapidfire did a bunch of assets to get them out of the way so i could focus on thinking of more plot than what i figured out here

at this point in dev

~made 20 working switches complete with flavor text (need to finish 'girlfriend')

~made inside of house and working transport to outside/back inside

~made flamingo1 into an item that you can obtain (weapon class????)

~trip set up for animation with the stump (i eventually got rid of this. honestly i forgot abt this but i was proud of that JHFDKJDSF)

decided i wanted a fishing mechanic and thought i figured out a randomized one- its not random it goes in list order BUT its cool that its at least a working conditional event (note: this is not all of the code to make this work but just some of it)

and then finally got over myself and did the house chipset
