Beyond Arrested Johnny Somali & Nuisance Streamers in Japan

It would be a good idea to get a group together but it needs to be sanctioned by some organization like JNTO. I’ll ask them about doing something like this which the Japanese government will pay attention to. Thank you!

Good video! People must understand that when you visit other countries you must go by their laws! Just realized that my subscription was terminated when my credit card got hacked. I’ve now resubscribed. Hello to Kanae & Rio! 😄🥰

John, my apologies for missing out on this podcast. I had to investigate what this “Johnny Somali” and similar others were up to, me gaining a basic understanding of the issues involved. It isn’t just Japan, but everywhere. Most infuriating as it explains while peaceful , respectful tourists who go forth to gain understanding and appreciation of other cultures are treated with suspicion and worse. I don’t feel like doing dogeza or worse, because someone’s bad behaviours has spoiled everything for the rest of us who genuinely respect other cultures and desire to learn more about these cultures. It most unfortunately means we who are respectful and appreciative of other cultures must take action when such events happen, in order to stop the unwarranted disrespect of all tourists and deterioration of foreign relations. We cannot sit on the sidelines, hoping it will go away. Aside from what we can do personally, the embassies and consulates of the countries involved should be informed of these agitators so they can take measures against these bums. Maintaining good international relations is their reason for being. There may well be other things that can be done, however I think it would be more on a case by case basis. It would be good to convene a international online gathering or similar, to discuss this issue and see what we can do to stop it in its tracks. At least, get a vigorous discussion going is the first step. Absent that first step, nothing will be solved. Time for us to be the responsible adults in the room and show younger kohai the right path.

Sir Shoom
