2023-04-17 01:42:07 +0000 UTCA few questions: - Do you see any unique and substantial discounts being bundled as part of the "expansion" later, and if so what do you think they'd be? I've seen many special "tourist passes" offer discounts to attractions and hotspots, but many of these are marginal at best (eg 10% off food at one specific restaurant, 5% off this specific souvenir shop). - Do you see a future where the JAPAN RAIL Pass becomes more of a JAPAN Rail Pass, incorporating more private railway companies and becoming even more of an all-you-can-ride solution, given the increase in pricing? - (Noticed these bouncing around on our Discord) Do you think this big spike might be a strategy for them to "revise" the price hike to something lower (but still substantial) closer to October, in order to manage the backlash when the price change comes into effect? A 40% increase doesn't sound so bad when they revised it down from 60-70%.
