A Million Moving Parts (Monthly Patreon Exclusive Blog - April)

Yoooo! How goes it?

April has been ALL about setting up what has been postponed over and over again: TOURS!! The number of moving parts that need to align and function as one unit to make these things happen is downright unbelievable. 

Tech: We're travelling with our own mixer this time around. We realise that our live mixes weren't ideal the last time we were on tour and do not want to compromise at all on that front moving forward. The problem here is that the mixer is so advanced that there's zero expertise about it in India. So we're depending entirely on google/youtube/forums to figure it out and hope that it doesnt crap out on us when the time comes.

Visas: Ugh. Germany's Schengen visas were universally unavailable to us because of multiple reasons (spike in covid, mass migration from Ukraine, the new transit visa requirements for people travelling to UK). Our only shot at it was if someone who had an appointment with them cancelled it. Thankfully, after several days of constantly pressing the page refresh button, Roshan was able to secure an appointment in June *phew*.

US visas have been applied for at a sweet price tag of $10,000 (and that's just one part lol). However, the current wait time is 260 days at the New Delhi Embassy - which already makes it impossible for us to play our shows in US. However we have a chance if we plead for an emergency appointment and the reviewer at the embassy thinks we are important enough.

Logistics: Flights are sky-high right now in terms of prices because of the inaccessible Russian airspace. Yay! :') Not to mention, the reduction in overall baggage allowance post covid and our added baggage because of the mixer. This is going to hurt. We may have to ship our gear separately before us to make this happen, but we're still figuring out what we can do.

Lastly, there's the ever looming COVID uncertainty.  

We get that this is generally how things are in the live industry, it still reinforces the fact that every successful tour is a goddamn miracle. So here we are praying to the universe to help us make this happen once again :D

Now, on to the good part:

1. US TOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - YES! It is happening! We will be announcing in the first week of May. Details will be posted here once they are public. You're gonna love the tour name haha!

2. JAPAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - We're also playing Fuji Rock Festival as part of this year's festival run. Playing in Japan is something we would almost joke about because it seemed to us at a point that only the biggest of the biggest get to play there. While that's not true, we're no less pumped about it!

3. PATREON EXCLUSIVE LIVESTREAM TOMORROW!! - Sorry for the mix-up last time lol. This time its gonna be a true exclusive.. AAAANDD we're planning to revisit rejected versions/drafts of the songs that you heard on the album. It *might* get embarassing haha! 

Join us tomorrow - 01/05/2022 at 21:00 IST. We'll share the here an hour before it starts :) Also, those who cannot be there can watch it later - we wont be deleting these.
