Hi John & Peter, my Dad was mostly in Fukuoka after the end of WW2. He was in the Army Corp of Engineers, & there to rebuild Japan. I have a cassette recording of what he said it was like for him. It would be cool if you might like to check it out? Anyways, please let me know, & I will see what I can do? I think my Dad's being in Japan helped shape his adult behavior in good ways for later in life. My Dad went blind however when he was about 55, from unknown causes. I have a feeling it was something he was exposed to just at the end of the war. Mid life, my Dad was an Aeronnautical engineer, at Mc Donnell Douglas / Boeing. He worked on electronics for launch pads, Apollo 14, & one of his last projects was probably electronic panels for Voyager's launch pad. Today we had a big long rocker Earthquake on the Island of Hawaii! About a 5.2-5.5 on the Richter Scale. It was felt as far away as Kauai. Please say hi to Kanae, & Leo Rio . Take care, Kai
