Complete Yamanote Line Ride

I’m going on my second trip to Japan next month. I wish I knew about your channel before my first trip! I got to know more about Japan through your videos and it helped explain some things I’ve wondered about during my first visit. Can’t wait for my 2nd trip, I’m coming to Japan with a different perspective, obviously more knowledgeable than before. I’m beyond excited! Thank you John!

The Oedo Line and Asakusa Line are more convenient for Tokyo Tower but it's a nice walk through Daimon from Hamamatsucho! I like it.

Interesting - I have seen some people fake sleep so as not have to offer their seat. Typically anyone with special needs will go to the blue colored seats on the ends of the train where they'll be expected to give it up. Tokyo also has a lot of non-Japanese riding and manners vary, but I've noticed foreigners are often quick to give up seats to elderly and those who need it.

glad to see one thing has changed, when i was there in 1986-87 it was customary to not surrender you seat to someone who needed it more than you. or maybe old age is playing tricks with my memory
