Big Chap(the alien from the first movie) has long been my favorite design in film. Last year I got asked to do a piece celebrating the 40th anniversary of Alien. I am extremely proud of this piece and it was hard to sit on.
My goal was to be extremely accurate to the screen used suit. Details like the waistband for the "pants", the mammal jaw bone heel spurs, and various types of ribbing and seams were meticulous recreated. I love this design and I hope it shows.

Wow I was able to get this done in about 14 hours of paint time. I can't remember the last time something went as quickly. Got to expand on some current workflows for scales that I'm really pleased with the result.

Trying a few new things. Everything I do takes a billion hours because I render forever so I wanted to do something that I could finish faster. I want to focus on indicating more and rendering less. It's actually much harder for me to work this way but I like the results.
I also really want to work on a horror thing.
