i still remember watching these performances and being blown away by the entire 'still into you' team, emily for omg, and megan for pink venom skdjksd glad yall were on the same wave, excited for the next ep! it's been fun re-watching these w/yall

2025-05-05 01:43:18 +0000 UTCkind of a part 2 to my comment on the last vid but see how yall could only comment on megan fr in the pink venom vid...imagine not knowing these girls at all like realistically i think adela being last makes a lot of sense in that context. i did want to add something i remembered but to be real during that time a lot of people watching pointed out that they honestly wanted to see more poc in the group so yeah emily and adela hate did contribute to that a lot bc people also felt like the white blonde image is already seen SO much. it is very unfortunate though cause emily was my favorite literally the entire show :( and im black so it was v disappointing but i truly understand people wanting to see people that look like them in a GLOBAL girl group yk?

Originally the mashup cover team consisted of Brooklyn, Karlee, Manon AND Adela & Megan while the Still Into You team consisted of everyone you see in the performance except Celesté who’s spot originally belonged to Iliya. This all changed due to Lexie’s hip injury (she was originally in the OMG team).

2025-04-21 20:43:43 +0000 UTCI love that you mentioned it at 20:44, the second group's song choice allows for a lot of freedom and dynamic harmonies that you can play around with compared to the first group's vocal performance like leave alone that the second group has all the top vocalists but the first group's song choice is meant to be a solo or at most a duet not a group type of thing
