Stop annoying iOS update alert for iOS14
Added 2021-02-10 19:46:11 +0000 UTCIf you don't update to the current firmware Apple will nag the **** out of you until you do. There's a way around this though and we've been using it for years.
The way to get around it is to install a tvos profile on your iPhone. (tvos is for the Apple Tv.)
Why does this work?
The goal of the profile is to let developers install new seeds of the tvos firmware for testing to help Apple improve it. By installing this profile your phone it will now check for the newest available tvos updates. Which in this case doesn't exist. There is no tvos update that will work on your phone, therefore you will not get an alert asking you to update.
Theories
That's as far as my knowledge goes, i've just installed them and went on with my day. I would think that Apple would bypass this, but maybe there is more going on here. On some sites if you go to install a tvos profile it will tell you this is not compatible with your device. Which makes sense as it's not an Apple Tv. So I believe that some of these profiles are modified to allow installation on iPhone. If someone knows if this is true let me know.
How to install
First go to settings > iPhone storage and delete any firmware updates for iOS14.
Then go to the link below and install the profile, then go to settings and approve the profile.
