i had planned to keep writing more for chapter 2, but the scene ended nicely so i figured i'd just release it early!

I slowly wake, still lingering in the haze of everything that happened last night… I peer out from beneath the covers to the warm morning light filtering in through the curtains, filling the room with a gentle glow.
For a moment I lose track of where I am until I feel Furina’s soft warm breath against my neck, reminding me exactly where I am.
I gaze down, seeing her body curled into mine, feeling her skin pressed against my own.
I don’t move. I don’t want to move. The feeling of warmth radiating from her body is enough to make the whole world fade away around me.
I slide my hand along her bare shoulder, holding her close. She smells so good.
It feels a little embarrassing to admit how good she smells, especially since we haven’t showered, but I can’t help it.
I gently brush a few stands of hair away from her face, needing to see her again.
She looks so peaceful like this. No fearful look in her eyes, no tears, just Furina, quiet and vulnerable.
