We continued our trips throughout Tokyo and this time we were headed to Shinjuku. The entire Lab team went to the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, a large green area in the heart of the grey city that is incredibly beautiful and well maintained. We strolled around and took a load off, admiring the scenery and sharing our experiences on the trip to Japan with each other. Then we went to a nearby shopping mall, the Shinjuku Marui Annex. While Access headed to the Sekaido art store, the girls and I went into the mall. There were so many Lolita clothing stores, such as Alice and the Pirates, Angelic Pretty, and Metamorphose. Have I ever told you that I had a Lolita phase when I was young? Obviously, in my student days I didn't have the money to buy a Metamorphose dress, but the Lab credit card helps a lot. The girls also wanted to stop by Surugaya Shinjuku Marui Annex Storen to buy some second-hand merchandise in almost new condition. We then went to Kabukichō, a neighborhood famous for its nightlife. Our first stop was Omoide Yokocho, a place known for small bars (izekayas). It was a bit chaotic considering our group had a massive humantaur, some conjoined twins, a big spider woman and a dwarf with a massive head, but we still managed to find a place to sit and eatt. We also stopped by to see the Godzilla Head at the Toho building and the Kabukicho Tower. I wanted to go on a bar crawl, but that cheapskate Access started complaining about the budget. Next time I’ll go by myself so I can do my “research” properly. Oh, and of course the mutant girls who impressed us the most that day were these beautiful conjoined lolitas, Yumeka and Tsukiko. I loved how their outfits fit their cute body so much that I couldn't help but buy some dresses for myself. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Credit Card Balance Angelic Pretty = ¥132,100 Metamorphose = ¥144,900 Alice and the Pirates = ¥87,560 Surugaya Shinjuku Marui Annex Store = ¥23,500 Food = ¥20,000 Other = ¥12,000 Total= ¥420,060 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ (Since I had the credit card, Access had to pay for the art supplies he purchased with his own money, which is obviously the good and right thing to do.)
