"Battle at Bastion's Bridge" - Lyrics
Added 2024-11-21 04:58:08 +0000 UTCLet me tell you of the chasm, of the Spring/Fall battle
Formed back when the seasons met up on the battlefield
On one side are golden fields of wheat and cattle
On the other side’s a forest, lush and green
The chasm runs deep
Where once there was a river
When Spring and Fall’s war
Was broken up by Father Winter
The river was frozen
Each side, a season chose
Then the ice taken away
Let me speak of Bastion’s Bridge
Built by Mayor Bastion
Several hundred years after seasons dropped their forms
It was made by many men
Across the Spring/Fall chasm
So Mayor Bastion had his legacy ensured
The chasm runs deep
The bridge at it’s heart
A thousand years pass
And then that’s where we are
In the distance there’s motion
A group is approaching
One who’s traveled so far
Timmund and Martin and Half Elf and Beast
Have almost completed their quest to the East
A bridge in the distance looks ancient and weak
But Ellomin’s close and it’s all that’s between
As the group gets closer to the bridge
Martin sees the Beast looking scared
With a golden collar on his belt
There’s an orc who’s waiting there
The group stops a few yards back
As Tamion starts to speak
“I’ll let you cross this bridge…but you’ve got something that belongs to me.”
So Timmund dismounts and then Timmund draws his blade
Then Martin dismount and then Martin draws his blade
Then Tamion steps forward, with hammer in his grip
And his other hand unfurls an orc leather whip
Timmund tries to swing
But Tamion hits him in the ribs
So Timmund stumbles, tries to stab
But Tamion hits him in the ribs
So Timmund tries to throw a punch
But Tamion hits him in the ribs
Then Tamion hits him in the ribs
Then Tamion hits him in the ribs
Then Tamion hits him in the ribs
Then Martin slashes ‘cross the back of both his ankles
Tamion falling forward to his knees
Martin scrambles up onto the Bear Hound
Timmund scooped up by the mouth of Beast
They start crossing the bridge
As quick as they are able
But Tamion sits up and he snaps his whip
‘Round the Half Elf’s ankle
He pulls him off the Beast
And he lands on the bridge
And Tamion starts reeling him in
Martin looks over his shoulder
And tells the Beast to stop
But it’s too scared of Tamion
So Martin leaps off and he starts to sing
But Tamion gives his mighty hammer a swing
A low steady rumble
The bridge starts to crumble
And Martin has no choice but to stay with the Beast
It all turns to rubble
With Tamion on the edge
And the Half Elf dangling
Tamion tries to stand up to his feet
But Martin cut him too deep
And his ankles are too weak now
Martin watches, filled with dread
Tamion tumbles over edge
Him and Half Elf falling way down
