Gato Search Update!

It's all about embracing curiosity so I thought I'd build it with the most curious people I know (you lovely Patreon supporters).
When you log in with your Patreon account, you can ask questions and get a lesson plan to find an answer. I've just added a feature that generates 3 weighted topic tags to each question so you can get a better understanding of the sorts of things you're curious about!
Should I have checked how this radar plot interacts with deleted questions before pushing it to production? Probably. But I literally only realized that while I was typing this message.
I also know the mobile view of the lesson plans are jacked up right now and I probably should've prioritized that over this... but you know how I am.

Another thing to be aware of is that questions that prompt options (instead of jumping right to the lesson plan) on mobile view have the text overlapping as they're three quite narrow columns. Everything else is great though!

2025-04-19 03:43:18 +0000 UTCI've really enjoyed using Gato Search and think it has some fantastic use cases—I can totally see it being a big hit with teachers! I love that I can export lesson plans and my questions are recorded, so if I want to revisit my exact lesson plan, I can do so without having to save it manually each time. Honestly, I was a little bummed when you mentioned you weren't recording questions! My husband is a developer, and he often uses me as his test subject to try and break the site before it officially launches. I definitely asked a bunch of questions early on just to make you all laugh!

2025-04-11 14:19:15 +0000 UTCI'm also having a problem with broken links/maybe hallucinations that aren't on the Wayback Machine, which is a real bummer because some of those link titles sounded really interesting lol. Very cool site though! I'm greatly enjoying it when the links do work, and I can't wait to see what comes next for it.
