did you find any difference between teaching writing in undergrad or grade school vs grad school? I'm currently a grad student and my professors are much more "write clearly and to the point. nothing unnecessary" than my undergrad profs were

2022-11-18 04:31:04 +0000 UTCI'd love if y’all could talk about how/whether you’re developing a kind of style with your videos. I noticed in this vid some things we’ve seen in Taha’s videos before (screen recording, background text, powerpoint, etc.) & some I don’t remember seeing much (clips from other media, memes, etc.). I’d be interested to hear how you all think about these more editorial decisions, how they fit into the production process, and how working with an editor impacts how the final video comes together. Also, if there are any people/specific pieces of media that inspire your creative process or that you try to emulate in your work. Loved the video (I genuinely laughed out loud at some bits) and also lol on the Zinsser cameo in the ad read, my profs in undergrad were obsessed with him & On Writing Well.

2022-11-18 00:00:54 +0000 UTCI’m a maths major in college and I find talking about my field difficult. Is there a way to lessen that pain in my writing? Is it possible to write a good physics lab is also accessible to the public. When is it infeasible How do I get away from the fear of math that many people face when they see a integral or even symbols from set theory and logic? Is there a way I can make my writing accessible to others without necessarily talking down to(in that weird strange inadvertent way) my professors?
