News, Plans and Updates!

Just wanted to update you on the content you can expect in the near future:
Noob Theory Tutorial Series & Future Tutorials
The Noob Theory Pico-8 tutorial series is complete!
Starting next week, I’ll be making these tutorials public on YouTube. +5$ Patrons will be able to download the video files on Patreon to watch anywhere. As you can imagine, I’d like to take a short break from making tutorials. I’ll probably resume making chiptune/MilkyTracker tutorials in January. Of course, $10+ patrons can request tutorials anytime!
Streaming Piano Practice and Concerts

I’m REALLY excited about this. As you may know, I’m primarily a piano player. You also have probably seen all my posts on jazz piano exercises. After 6 years of focusing on composition and electronic music, I think I’m at the point where these are merging with my piano practice. I purchased some sound equipment and a webcam so I can create and stream piano content. It’s too soon to know exactly what direction this will go, but I’ll be trying a few new things starting in December:
For one, I’ll be streaming my practice sessions. Repetitive piano practice doesn’t make the most entertaining stream, but this will be an opportunity for viewers to 1) hear how professionals practice, and 2) ask me music related questions. Currently, it seems I have enough energy to practice for two hours consecutively. So, I’ll still be spending lots of time at the computer composing and streaming in Pico-8, MilkyTracker and Ableton.
Once a month, I’d also like to host private piano concerts for +2$ Patrons. These will be about 40mins long, featuring original compositions, jazz tunes and improvisation. +5$ Patrons will have access to concert archives. I’ll likely start this in the new year. Stay tuned!
Polls and Chiptune Covers
A few months ago, I started taking polls on music to remake in Pico-8 and MilkyTracker. Since hitting the $100 milestone though, my focus has been on making the Noob Theory tutorials. Now that these are done, I’d like to continue making chiptune covers of your favourite video game tunes, maybe once or twice a month. I’ll be taking next week off (Nov 26 – Dec 1), but expect to see a new poll in early December.
That’s it for now, thanks for reading, and thanks for your support!
