Doesn't matter if it makes him laugh or cry or flip a pizza off a barbecue or sing along -- he knows that song is for him and he never feels more seen by anyone or anything than by bruce in that moment.

Admittedly I grew up with hockey culture which seems somehow substantially worse than football. Something special about it is this condition you develop if you get enough head injuries from hockey and/or drunk driving where you namedrop friends' shit heel older brothers/ older brother's shit heel friends as though everyone present will or should know who they are. Gus Tooper seems like he has a good life and a decent degree of emotional intelligence tbh, in comparison being a hockey parent puts you one wrong turn away at all times from being in a Fargo plotline.
