I'd like to show thanks to you all by displaying Patron names in YouTube videos on Gray Raven Radio/Wuthering Radio. My wish is to include this for all tiers.

If there are no objections, I will implement this sometime in the near future!

Widening the scope

More updates!

It has once again been a very hot minute since I updated, but these screenshots are from the latest build of the site. There are still many tweaks to be done such as colours and things, but you can see the website is really taking shape now. Everything is being designed for mobile at the same time, so everything looks good there. You can press the burger menu on the sidebar to collapse it into little icons if you so choose.

Further site updates

As you can see, the site is really coming along! It'll see a lot more QoL fixes and changes to what's where. We've got a recent addition to the team who deals with UX, so we've been getting a lot of good pointers!!

Unfortunately, I'm still not exactly sure when this will be done, but I really love how much better this looks than the current grayravens already.

Site progress!

It's been a hot minute since I remembered to drop any progress here! The grayravens team acquired some amazing programmers several months ago, and we decided it would be better in the long run if we built a website from the ground up. It's been a long road but the site is really coming along now!

Thanks to the recruitment recently, so much is getting done! Check out this very cool, very early build of a way to display skills on the new site. It mimics the way skills are displayed in CN.

Decided it would be a lot smarter to have all images relating to a character on one page rather than splitting them up based on the Coating.

Memories -- again

Squarespace unhelpfully removed the Gallery feature it used to have, so I've had to start building ways to display Memories from scratch. Just adding the names to each Memory portrait has taken so long, and I'm not sure if creating shareable images like the first image here is better than explaining all the details through text beside the image. There are pros and cons to both.

Memories: The Sequel

After my team and I wracked our brains to figure out how to handle Memories on SS, it seems like the best course of action is to show them via images with alt text to account for screen readers, images not loading, etc. 

To that end, I think I'm going to add the name of the Memory to every Memory icon, like this:

Memories

Been struggling a bit with how to display each character's ideal Memories. Squarespace lets you make beautiful websites, but for things like this that need to be edited often, it's not always ideal. They've also made an "update" recently that removes the ability to add gallery blocks to pages which makes this a lot more difficult. I'm considering listing Memory sets in text only but I worry that would make it more confusing for our users.

Little look at new Memory page

Still unsure how I want it all to look, but it's getting there. You can see we have a little Back To Top arrow that appears on each page now! It feels very good to press.

Because new players often get confused about Memories, I'm thinking about having this huge long "Note About Memories" section near the bottom of each Memory page. Not sure if it's better to have there or on some other page.

Coatings list

Ultimately I'd like to be able to show off every single coating in the game but it's tricky to decide how best to display it. I'm thinking an anchored list like this might be the least painful way to do it at the moment.

Characters

Working on a way to make selecting characters nicer. You'll notice these elements are HEAVILY borrowed from the CN site. Fingers crossed it'll be allowed haha. Still took forever to edit, though!

Coating Page Progress

Had to scrap the previous coating pages because of a limitation on the method I was using, but this is even nicer to use so far so it works out. I'm sure it'll see a lot more improvements as time goes by.

Rotisserie Lucia!!!

We've got someone on the team now who can work with Blender so we will maybe possibly have these fun spinning models on our coating showcase pages! Just like rotisserie chickens.

Tried something different from the last post. With this gif, you can get a better look at the progress so far. It'll be fun to look back on these and see how far the site has come! 

Extremely early look at the new website

Here you can catch the layout of a character page in the new GRAY RAVENS design. I opted for pinks and purples rather than red just because I felt that such a huge amount of red would be too irritating and bright. In the end I decided I didn't care about that and scrapped the purple in favour of the classic GRAY RAVENS red.

The layout works pretty well on mobile, too.
