Concerns were raised regarding this, somewhat to my surprise, on the Unofficial Forum, and if you go to the Hierophant subchannel there you can read my in-depth replies. I will, however, post a brief summary here: I am not working for the Saudi government nor is the funding coming from them. A private company has purchased 10 percent equity in Dreaming Door, and we are using those funds to create Hierophant. The company (the Merak Capital Fund) is led by serious gamers who deeply know the indie scene, love the work that Dreaming Door does, and have not asked me to do a single thing creatively except to follow my passion and build on what the Great Green started. Saudi Arabia's leadership at this time is extremely progressive and dedicated to establishing a new way of life here centered around global values and a sustainable economy, moving away from oil and religious conservativism. Socially, they wish to establish a strong game development industry here and my company is part of a general movement in the private sector to support that objective. To repeat something I stated on the Discord: I am not bound to stay here, nor will I tolerate any creative restrictions. If I am asked to do something to compromise my vision, I will simply leave. But although I have some very serious critiques of the boneheaded bureaucracy around here, I have not been asked to do anything at all creatively different, and this IP belongs to me and not to Saudi or any company thereof. I promise it will not be compromised.

I'll try to have faith that you won't let your artistic vision and inner truths be compromised or distorted by political pressure or impositions of any kind, but it would be wonderful if you could address that issue a little at some point, if you're able. Regardless, I'm glad to hear that things are working out well for you, and I'm looking forward to this new journey!
