Monthly Report July 2020

Woah, another month is over. Too damn fast.

So, it's time for my second monthly report. I actually kinda like to write them.

First a quick overview what I have done and more importantly why. :D

Relatively spontaneous, actually on the 3rd, I got the fantastic idea to create the "America Fuck Yeah" video for the 4th of July american indipendance day holiday. I thought "pretty easy, just add some action scenes and all the brands in quick shots. It probably wont take too long". Oh god, I was so wrong about that, almost too much to admit it. These "short" cuts and scenes took much longer and more of my time than I have anticipated. It was almost an all nighter and most part of my saturday. But I like the result and think it was worth it. My viewvers seem to agree, it was great to see the reactions.

Okay, so this was out of my system. I got back into the BD Armory weapons mod. And yeah, you can see my following videos were affected by it. :D

I made one useful vid, which I have promised in the 1.10 Preview, the "How to add your own Suit Textures - Tutorial". Sadly not many views, but it helped some people and will be there for more following in the future.

The "Always Has Been" meme was also a spontaneous outburst of creativity. I kinda liked it, and Locob (The Creator of the Pro Props Mod) pushed me over the edge to actually recreate it in KSP. So I sat there one sunday evening, again much longer than I  anticipated and made this short sweet clip.

The Minmus Kessler Syndrome videos followed. I just wantred so smash something in opposite orbit for years. The time came to create these vids. I planned to make a single one, but ended to split it in two parts. And a third will follow, after reading some comments with cool ideas. It will be time to clean the orbit. :D

Decouplers and Guns to Orbit, yeah really silly stuff. A bit clickbaity, but it actually worked. R&D for these vids was also longer than most people expect. I never showed all the fails. Just the regular Kraken attacks, failed staging and explosions.

VTOL VR, uhh really nice game. It is developed by the same guy who made BD Armory, and some other cool mods. Paolo Encarnacion, aka BahamutoD. I was in the first batch of testers since 2017, I think. Always kept in touch with him, since the beginnings of BD Armory. But I streamed it only one time a few years back. Of course I had to and loved to show the game for his 1.0 release. So I made a longer Overview video. More videos will follow on my second channel VRDennis.

The most important thing this month was my Voice Reveal. Yeah, you heard it right. Maybe or probably you missed it. I did it in the Sand 9 Stream on the 6th July. Right at the end of the stream. I actually planned to do it like this for years. I just had to wait until all prerequisites were fulfilled. Namely, 100k subs, summer time and finale of the Sand Saga streams, the 9th episode. It only took some years, mainly due to the subscriber count. But i waited, waited for this summer. Made Sand streams 7 and 8. And then finally after so many years of planning, Voice Reveal in Episode 9. :D

Ahahaha, actually silly, but it was what I have always imagined how to do it. It didn't come to my mind in the first Sand stream, but some time after the first few ones. I don't remember exactly when. But it did, and my grand master plan was in the works. In the following streams I finally could use my voice. But I really have to get used to it. It's weird not talking with somebody, and just to the viewers. Will need a bit to get more comfortable with it. Normal videos with my voice will also come. I just need a better microphone.

Last but not least, my summer horror movie is still not finished. I have promised the release about a month ago. Sorry. Honestly, I got a bit burned out and the thought of it not getting many views was not helping. So instead I pushed my channel with some "easier" videos before releasing this big project. Production was halted. I will return to it and finish it for the end of august, so it's still in a real summer month. :D Not the first time I get way over my head with a "movie" project. It needs time and love, and in the end it will be hopefully worth it.

That's it for this month, I think I have covered most of it. Really long wall of text. Please always give me feedback, I like to know what you think and how to improve.

Thanks for staying on board and helping me out. I really appreciate it! :)
