here's a little acoustic version of "souvenirs" for you all.
i've been hearing that the songs i wrote during and about my time in jakarta have started to make sense on a more personal level for people lately--and it really is strange how applicable these songs feel to the current times we're in. recently iβve been reflecting on that period of my life and the lessons i learned there, and it's been a helpful reminder that even in times like these there are still so many gifts and lessons and things to be grateful for if we're willing to look for them. and also, oof--it can be incredibly overwhelming and scary and confusing and painful. trying to hold space for both to be true at the same time.
in other news, the next song off the new album is coming out may 19th! it's called "hard to be human", and i am very excited for you all to meet.

I try to learn all of your songs, but, even though I bought a Yamaha P-125 electronic keyboard (which my wife loves since she plays piano) I really prefer my acoustic guitar! Really miss speaking with you on our Skype calls and hearing from you. You are an angel.
