New Video: Dancing On My Own w/ Pomplamoose!

Hello everyone! I hope your 2019 is off to an amazing start!

I had so much fun doing this song! If you don't already know Pomplamoose, I am so happy you do now! They consist of Nataly Dawn (who you may know from her general awesomeness, or our other collabs like this or this or this) and Jack Conte (who you may also know from HIS general awesomeness, or the fact that he INVENTED THIS VERY PLATFORM AND IS THE REASON KG RECORDS HAS A HOME HERE ON PATREON!!! THANK YOU, JACK!) and their unbelievably talented band! Nataly and Jack are truly some of my favorite humans on the planet. Anyway, as I'm sure you know, I do most of my music pretty solo these days, so this was such an amazing reminder of the joy and magic and FUN that can come from working with other musicians. The room was buzzing and felt so lucky to be able to be standing in the middle of so much talent and so many amazing people.

In other news, the year has begun! This month has been about community for me. I've been spending really meaningful time with real humans in my real life, and it's felt really good. In the past, this much people time would have completely burnt me out and overwhelmed me, but as I'm learning to settle into myself and be myself around more people, I've come to find this time very energizing and full of connection and lessons and good ideas. So here's to people! And if you're one of the introverted, socially anxious one's like me, here's to knowing we can keep growing and changing and that it's only going to get better :) 

This afternoon I'm headed up to the mountains to spend some time with some of my dear friends (and favorite musicians) Kate McGill, Marié Digby, and Mree. The last time we were all together was 3 years ago, and I am so excited we get to do it again. Wish us luck as we head into the trees looking for songs! (Disclaimer: We might just talk and laugh and relish in each other's company the whole time instead of writing. Either way, it's a win!)
