Hello everyone!
I am so excited to share my newest song off the album, "History," with you all. This song came out of nowhere and snuck onto the album at the last moment and I'm so happy it did :)
I decided it would be fun to switch it up and let this song stand on its own for a moment before the video comes out to give you all time to assign your own stories and meaning to it. Video will be coming at the end of the month!
Lyrics are below, audio stream above (though it's also available on Spotify, iTunes, etc!). Get cozy, sit back, get those headphones on, and take a listen! I hope you two have a nice time getting to know each other :)
Thank you all for allowing me the space in my life to create, the space to find new songs and then lose myself in a studio to bring them to life. I am so grateful!
Geckos and up - download the song here :)

HISTORY
That song reminds me of summers, of family, of backyards,
Of you and me
If I went back there
Straight back to the place where I wondered what we could be
I’d laugh
Who’d have thought? Who’d have thought
That song reminds me of Newhart, of 90s of petty, and heavy things
I still remember what life was like back then
Before I had learned to speak
I’d hide
Sing it out, sing it out
I felt it all
The kissing and fighting
I know the cost
I stayed home on New Year’s Eve
All in all
I’d rather be right here than
Falling off the pages of history
If I remind you of childhood, of memories, of times both bitter and sweet
Let’s take that feeling right here to this moment
And sew it into the seams
My love
Hold it all, hold it all
I felt it all
The kissing and fighting
I know the cost
I stayed home on New Year’s Eve
All in all
I’d rather be right here than
Falling off the pages of history
