Let it snow!

Here is an unexpected bonus song for the Holidays! I just happened to stumble upon a very nice backing track for the Sinatra version of Let it Snow and I thought it would be great to play it with my jazz guitar.

If you research this song you'll find two main versions: Sinatra's and Dean Martin's. The melody and the key (D major) are basically the same in both versions, except in Sinatra's version you have an additional  part in the key of Db.

Just in case you wanted to play it with a friend I transcribed and wrote  out the harmony for the second guitar - it might seem complicated but if you know basic jazz chords it shouldn't be a problem.

Did you know that the song was not written specifically for the Holidays? It was actually written in July, in the middle of a heat wave,  and the guys who composed the song, Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne, just wanted to imagine cooler weather conditions!

As I mentioned earlier I found the backing track on another youtube channel - so thank you and a shout out to the Karaoke Junkies.
