Drows

Introducing one of the races which will be part of the next race poll, the description is intentionally light and will be further refined if they are chosen in the poll. 

Description:
A dark skinned sub race of elves which used to live in large underground cities but today most of them can be found living on the surface, sometimes in isolation or often pulling the strings in the realms from behind. Like other elves they can’t die of age or illness but due to their habit of seeking power they tend to find an early death.

Average height: 4’8”- 6’1” (142cm-185cm)

Body type: Thin and athletic, they take great care of their bodies as they consider it important to be superior than the others in every aspect possible.

Hair: White with a slight metallic shimmer is the most common, colors resembling silver, gold, copper are also common, rarely they are born with dark blueish iron like hair which is considered a sign of mental illness.

Clothing: They love fabrics woven out of silk yarn wrapped with a string of valuable metal, often silver or gold. Another core of their fashion is a stretchable metallic looking material which they can mold onto their bodies, ranging from full body suits to just small decorative pieces.
Other than that they like to wear to use the most expensive fabrics they can find, which can include things like dragon skin or the fur of the last white tiger which ever lived.

Food: They like their mushroom wine, usually flavored with spider venom, which makes it actually deadly to almost every other race. They also like to eat expensive meats just gently roasted, still bloody on the inside.

Magic: Much to their own grief magic abilities aren’t all that common among them but those who show even the slightest hint of them try to grow their abilities regardless of the consequences, thanks to that there are some very competent sorceresses among them.

It has been speculated that the Drows immense jealousy lead to the rarity of magical abilities as they were considered a great threat and those with that gift were often assassinated before even reaching adulthood.

Technology: Since most of them can’t use magic but are still seeking power, they are among the technologically most advanced and knowledgeable people. They perform ruthless experiments and develop some of the most sophisticated constructions ranging from spider like war machines to simple but effective flintlock pistols.

Intimacy: A male is for a Drow just a means for reproduction as they consider them mentally weak and easy to manipulate, which doesn’t mean that they aren’t choosing their partners carefully as they want to have the strongest offspring possible. But they are also always walking on a thin line between having their own children as means of protection and source of power while also fearing that one of them might end up eventually killing their own mother.
