Fnop 2.1.0 alpha Development Update RELEASED! – Testing Unreal Engine 5.6

We wanted to let you know that we’re currently testing a new version of the engine — Unreal Engine 5.6.
Until now, the game was developed in Unreal Engine 5.4, but official VR support has recently been added only to version 5.6, so we’ve had to migrate the entire project to this newer build.
This is not a final version, but rather a temporary test version. Our main goal right now is to confirm that the game runs properly for most players and VR setups.
We’re aware there might be some calibration issues, like your character appearing slightly offset or away from the menu buttons. If that happens, you can simply move using the joystick to reposition yourself in the room, especially in the main menu area.
There are also some unfinished elements, but before finalizing anything, we want to make sure we’re taking the right steps.
Thanks to all your incredible support, we prefer to test directly with you, our community, who help us improve every step of the way. 🙌
So please, don’t be too critical of this version — what we need most right now is feedback on whether it works for you or not.

2025-11-22 16:26:30 +0000 UTCin the previous version i used the meta link for my quest 2 and it worked, but trying the same thing now, it loads up and i can move, but my hands are missing and the title screen is missing to, although the hitboxes are still there, but when i try one it crashes the game, ill try and launch it through Steamvr when i get the chance, but you should add in the compatibility for the regular link in the next update!

This happens both with SteamVR and when launching the game directly (I'm using Google Translate, I'm not a native English speaker).

2025-11-05 02:24:08 +0000 UTCIt's because you're respawning outside the room. This can be fixed by resetting your position. If you start the game and then move, you might respawn outside the map when the game opens. It's a silly bug and will be fixed in the next version.
