new style?
Added 2019-10-13 08:08:28 +0000 UTCI've been using the same light style in the game until now, and at this point I am unsure if I should switch the style since it looks so different, but imo it looks good.
Maybe I could just keep these for the more dramatic scenes and keep the more plain light to the rest, any suggestions?

2019-10-15 10:32:08 +0000 UTCoh I was not going to redo old renders, there are over 2k of them and at this point it is impossible I think depending on the scene using different lighting would be fine, but it would be weird if the light changes a lot in, let's say, the house or other places like that

2019-10-15 00:12:42 +0000 UTCI think consistency is important so, this far into development, it's probably not a good idea to switch. A sudden change could seem jarring and going back over all of the other renders in the game to keep a visual consistency would be quite time-consuming and slow down progression with the development overall. I suppose it depends on how well you think you could sneak it in, but I'd personally keep it in my pocket until the next project.

2019-10-14 23:48:41 +0000 UTCSomething else I noticed is that in the second image the skin of Vera is a lot paler whereas in the new image her skin has a warmer tone to it. I would say that the new lighting improves the image of both characters. The only deficit is that Vera's hair is a lot more effective than it should be. Other than that I definitely like the new lighting.

The other lifestyle books more like a cartoon since there aren't really any shadows or changes in lighting across the image. I think they both look pretty good and would be a good choice for creating scenes. It all depends on the style that you want to portray.
