Poll: Pace of corruption and M. Control
Added 2019-03-07 20:15:21 +0000 UTCHello Patreons! This month we'll continue with the main story again, finishing the dating with Vera and her team and then moving on on controlling the university (corrupting Erika and Margaret first).
Capturing the university will introduce a new secondary character (the principal) and the staff/students (which will be nameless). Whatever the case, corruption in this game has always been kinda fast paced: 3-5 scenes usually.
With Erika I want to make an exception (which I wish I had done from the beginning... but kinda late for that), but for locations and institutions I dont know what you guys think: The coffee shop has over 8 scenes (if you count that you first corrupt the barista, then the new manager), and I was thinking the university should had a similar or even longer treatment (maybe 12 scenes, not counting the principal scenes), but is this maybe too much? Or even too short? Well, that's the purpose of this poll! the choices are:
Everything slow paced: Of course, this mean it will take longent to advance the main story, or rather, than the main story will be significantly longer when the game is done. Consider we've been working 1 year already and we have over 2k images and we are just arriving to the first institution (not counting the PPF, which's been out since 6 months ago), or in other words, this is pretty much the start of roughly what would be "chapter 3"
Main content slow, side content fast: Not all characters are incredibly important for the plot, examples like Nela, Claire or Alex (the former leader of the PPF), are secondary characters that are for now only used to move the story, but they lack (and will probably keep lacking) content, depth and presence. Others, like Vera and her team, are main characters that are significant. Side content means then: Locations like the club, the coffee shop, corrupting locations and side characters.
Everything fast: Kinda like the beginning of the game and with Celia, Katy, Dimitria or Mirjana: Although they are important main characters, corrupting them goes relatively fast and there isn't as much character development as there is with Emma, Vera and others. Of course this would mean we will be adding new locations, side events and characters faster!
Well hope you guys vote and leave comments too!
NOTE: Right now, the game kinda is "Main content slow, side content fast" for the most part.

Interesting, but I find early game to advance fast: Celia, dimi, etc. are corrupted in like 4 steps, and there isnt much story or development between them and the MC, specially with mirjana i.e. I agree the game doesnt go any slower later on, but i.e. with Emma or with Vera, things dont go from 0 to 100 that quickly

2019-03-08 20:23:48 +0000 UTCI don't know, I kind of enjoy the slow process of corrupting the characters in the early grind, and found the rapid progress later on less satisfying. (This also makes me very confused when you say that "Everything fast" is like "the beginning of the game and with Celia, Katy, Dimitria or Mirjana." We must be imagining "fast" to refer to somehow different aspects of the game/story, but I'm not sure what.)

2019-03-08 19:14:54 +0000 UTCYes, well super early game grind is kinda un purpose, to reflect the shitty life of the MC, which kinda quickly evolves from it and never again has to work or grind :P but overall i agree

2019-03-08 07:30:59 +0000 UTCI agree to that, and i want to go back and add some extra content, probably not dating since that would change the plot a lot at this point, but at least more depth. Maybe in the plot I can develop this more, but yes, I agree the initial characters all go too fast

2019-03-08 07:30:04 +0000 UTCWould like major characters to be slower- (less grinding, more scenes). Practically, this would mean creating more checkpoints on an already established path, and then modifying already existing scenes to reflect these additional variables. Stuff like creating renders based on bodytype, or giving certain bodytypes additional scenes, or removing scenes that don't make sense for certain bodytypes... and putting hints in the content that indicates this. Overall, it'd add a lot more work in, but would definitely help the early/mid game feel a lot more fleshed out than the current (corrupt->work->rest->trigger main objective) loop that's boring and repetitive.

2019-03-07 23:36:56 +0000 UTCWhile I do like how quickly you can corrupt CKDM, I have wished for them to have more content and depth and am eagerly waiting for the option to date them. While fast can be good, I prefer quality, content and depth so I'll have to cast my vote for slow all so I can really get immersed in the world you've created and the amazing characters I want to spend more quality time with, specifically the main ones.
