DiCK 0.2.8 for +$5 patreons!

Hello patreons! The release of 0.2.8 is here! As mentioned before, the focus now will be both the city and your life in it, we’ve added new locations to visit, there are only few events there, but there will be more in a small update that we’ll release early next week, adding at least 10 events per location. 

First an important note: Since there have been a lot of new variables added to the city, it is recommended to start from the beginning! If you don’t want to do so, you should make sure that, before advancing turn, you go to your journal and adjust your city as how your like it: Make sure to check the budget, put the taxes as you want, etc. because when the day ends, it will run updates for each 20 days you’ve been in the game, so if you’re at day 200, the city will change 10 times. 

This is critical since everything by default is 0, so you will end up with almost every stat in 0 if you just skip. 

If you want to experience your kingdom building, I suggest you to start from the beginning. Many options are closed until you arrive to certain point in the story tho! This is normal! i.e. you can’t select which religion you have until Itzel, the priestess, arrives to your city.

CHANGELOG:

• New character: Livia, the baker, she’ll have a lengthy story, for now, the first few quests have been added to her, including with her art, portrayed above! 
• Exploration! Now you can visit few locations around the city. There are 2-3 corrupt and pure events in each (they appear depending on the corruption of your city) 
• Adding stats to the city, to simulate it’s growth and change. This includes taxes, budget points (to be spent in different areas). All of these will have a huge impact in how rich your city becomes (which in the future will mean how much money you earn each day), and also how corrupt it is. You can also have themes in the future, either going for a strict theocracy that fights corruption with a powerful inquisition, or a more hippie, pacifist, super free society, the choice is yours! 
• Fixing bugs! Including one which blocked pretty much all the content of Faustina, now she’s unlocked and you can finish her story line! 

These systems of course are taking time, because they are kinda complex for me, and they are probably kinda unbalanced, nonetheless overtime this will get better and more interesting, will provide you with bonuses and of course, fun content.

For DiCK this month this will be all, we will further the story line of the baker Livia, we will add two other characters (a male blacksmith, and Livia’s ladyboy husband), we will polish and update the city management too, and we want to add the laboratory as soon as we can, where you can both change yourself more in depth and your retainers!
