My Reaction to Jin on KStar Next Door!!

I was very impressed by this interview FAM😁Johnathan was delightful and world wide handsome Jinny was as clever as ever.

...As an added bonus: Throughout this video, I prove without a shadow of a doubt that I am the most like Jin out of all my reactor friends 🤓

My Reaction to Jin on KStar Next Door!!

Comments

Nico has grown to have a soft spot for Jin over the years 💟🥹

Shawn Fox

I definitely enjoyed your reaction, I would be down for the Jin cooking/ making alcohol vlogs.

Btsnoona

First off, I'm the oldest in my family, and the oldest cousin on both sides so I definitely was used to supremacy in my family. Regarding grades, luckily I made some good friends who cared about grades in sophomore year of high school. Before that, I did well enough but I didn't really care. But I was like, oh, we're supposed to try to get all As? And then I did a lot better. Finally, with regard to blood sweat and tears -- I had heard of the idiom before I got into BTS -- and I saw on the internet that Winston Churchill used it in a speech in 1940. Perhaps it was an idiom that wasn't commonly used in Korea and in Korean. And the song brought the idiom into more common usage in Korea? Or Jin is just messing with us :-)

Fran G

Does Jonathan say that this is the end of the show, or is it the end of his term as host?

Jean Mahoney

And it's such a relief to have that diagnosis, isn't it?

BU Wormhole

This was so wholesome and fun! I'm definitely following this dude 💜

Shirley R

Hello fellow late-diagnosis FAM! It definitely explained a lot, lol.

Shirley R

That's true! In the US it used to be a very common saying, and there was a whole-ass band in the 70's called Blood Sweat & Tears. Who my old ass still loves a lot.

Shirley R

I’m actually pretty fast. Wanna race?

WhatchaGot2Say

🤓😊

WhatchaGot2Say

Ok 👍🏽

WhatchaGot2Say

I love your encouraging words here FAM. Appreciate you sharing your story 🤓💜

WhatchaGot2Say

Heyyyy let’s goooo!!

WhatchaGot2Say

Oh they were speaking only from the Korean point of view. Ok that makes sense.

WhatchaGot2Say

Yeah you have to remember both sides of Korea are technically only on a ceasefire

alison Fitchett

I love all your videos with and without Blaze and AJJ and just for the book my Nickname from my hubby is AJ

Here's the story behind "Blood Sweat and Tears." Before the song came out, Koreans would say "blood and sweat" (and I think maybe "sweat and tears"). When the title "Blood Sweat and Tears" was suggested for this song, some of the members actually thought it sounded dirty! They had to be convinced that it was a good choice. So the fact that Koreans use the term regularly now is another example of how much influence BTS has.

BU Wormhole

My first time I have your whatcha gotta say tshirt with real army’s know BTS on the back

alison Fitchett

Okay, I'll tell the truth and shame the devil. I got top grades in high school and college but then couldn't keep a job. That made me *hugely* ashamed and depressed. Long story short, 45 years later I got an official answer to something I'd already figured out ten years earlier: I have autism. That official diagnosis was one of the best gifts I ever received, and when one wise friend congratulated me, I knew he understood. (BTW, I'm not saying this for sympathy. I'm saying it for encouragement. We all have reasons for who we are, and for what we can and can't do. The best gift we can give each other is understanding.)

BU Wormhole

YES!

BU Wormhole

When Jin said it was hard for the guys to get leave to come to J-Hope's discharge, it was because the South Korean army cancelled all soldiers leave due to tensions with North Korea... so both are correct.

Judy V

Yay! Fellow Dane! And yes, it's very much language specific.

Line Salomonsen

“Matter of fact Jin with a little troll on the side.” You always amaze me with your descriptions. You are a true wordsmith Nico, and I love it! 💜

Phyllis St. Pierre

Hard agree... You're the Jin of the FAM! No question! I'm also the eldest in my family and I think my directness is a result of that role. Gotta keep it real for the younger ones who think they know everything. Love you to LIFE! 💜

Tara Odell

Also... THIS!! Jin and his bestie for Jin's Traditional Alcohol Journey. You've heard them mention that Jin made his own alcohol and gifted his friends with bottles. These episodes show the process and are absolute gems in the Jiniverse! He filmed this journey about 2 months before his enlistment while promoting The Astronaut. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5hrGMysD_GvsLuHP559C6DPH47YNcJna&si=ZedLXeStLtWBPtfg

What a treat, indeed! I knew you'd enjoy Jonathan as a host and a human. He really is adorable! I'm down for solo reactions FAM! I know we all yearn for the NIBLAJJ crack energy but you do so well on you're own. It's hilarious to watch you have these conversations with yourself because... been there! The BTS vlogs are sooo fun! ALL 7 of them! I would also recommend the D-Day vlogs from SUGA - 3 of them. This playlist has the 7 vlogs plus the D-Day vlogs. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5hrGMysD_GteOi3IYVbUHi1NV-aNSNWs&si=9LhNBWWQMYecZs-I

Princess Bunny K Jeon

Bro you slow🤣🤣🤣 You crack me up, but if you ever got into a dad joke battle with Jin, he'd destroy you. I disagree with you, but what else is new?😂 This interview was so cool and hilarious. I'm like JK when it comes to calling and texting people😏

Princess Bunny K Jeon

1) I think they have to apply for leave from the military and it’s not always granted. So I think that’s what Jin meant re JHope’s discharge 2) I am one of those cliche people who did very well all through uni but never figured out a career or did well professionally 3) blood, sweat and tears is a term in my first language danish, but those kinds of expressions are very language specific and it may not have been in Korean before their song!

Char

Love Jin he’s hilarious. 🤣 love you guys too. You are also hilarious 😆

Karen Lake

Jonathan doesn't speak a word of English and gets petrified when the westerners approach him on the streets and start talking🤣😱🤣😱 The same with his sister.

Shawn Fox

Thank you, Nico! I've watched this a couple of hours after it dropped. But of course, I'm looking forward to your reaction. 💜 I did a little online search on Jonathan because I've seen him in some Korean shows and curious to know how he's so fluent. His dad was a diplomat/politician from Congo who moved his family to Korea as a refugee when he was a kid. With regards to Hobi's discharge, both are correct. There was an issue with NK, so all leaves were cancelled at that time. From my understanding, BST was not a term that Koreans used when the song came out.

ceejays

YAY!! I'm so happy you are watching this Nico!

Rae Avilez

I was an average student in HS In college I was more focused & did better. I was more motivated to make a better life for my kids & myself. With a lot of luck things got better

Shelly Koch

This is my first time watching it. Looking forward to watching it myself again I had a commitment tonight so I could not watch it live, but I am going to enjoy watching it now 💜

Shelly Koch

Love your reaction.

Sambath

Jin was saying that people in Korea didn't say blood, sweat and tears. It is a western saying. But because of BTS it has become more commonly used in Korea

Priya

Thanks for the reaction Nico 💜💜
