In my experience once best work is always done on what one is most passionate about, and those passions sometime change back and forth depending on personal inspiration and current interests. It all depends, because sometimes you can have a lack of drive and inspiration, and other times you can also have too many interests and so have a hard time on deciding what to do next... If you run into those things, you could always in a non-commitant way ask your community for advice or inspiration via defined polls or a suggestions thread. That way you don't have to submit yourself to the feeling of being pressured into doing something your are not passionate about.
