As you know FAM this is our first Comeback ever! And this trailer did not disappoint! You guys were right! SUGA is simply mind blowing here. But enough of me typing this out lol check out what we had to say in our reaction.

Very GENUINE REACTION to BTS MAP Of The SOUL: 7 'INTERLUDE: SHADOW' Comeback Trailer

When I hear this song, I felt like Blaze.. holding back the tears. <3 Thank you for the video.

So glad you enjoyed it and that we all connected at the same level 🤓

Wow, this reaction video was deep. Y’all had me tearing up. Great job

First...love the name. At first glance I thought it said Alley but that’s definitely not Allley lol. Thank you for the kind words. BTS actually means something to us. It’s not something we just put on when the camera is on. We...especially me (Nico) are living this BANGTAN life daily now and it’s real out here lol. Thanks for looking out for us. It does get hard and stressful in the YouTube world so I’m trying to make sure I balance everything the best I can. 🤓💜💜💜

You guys amaze me every time I watch your reaction videos. There are so many channels that only react to BTS because they know they get a ton of views. BUT, Army can tell when someone isn't really into the group. They don't learn anything about the guys, what their personalities are and how every member's talent is needed to make BTS what they are. How hard they all worked so hard to get where they are and they work 100 times more now than when they debuted. I've been a member of the ARMY since 2013, thanks guys for your love of BTS and I look forward to every video from you. Just don't forget to take care of yourselves too and get enough sleep and stuff! We can wait for videos if it means you get enough rest, being a youtube creator is TOUGH.

Guys,I am recommending “Joey (Lucky Boy) NATO” for some real feels on this song! He has super mad skills and I go to him for techsplaining.

No need to apologize. I just read every bit of your response. Love the message of acceptance of ones self. Shadow and Light. One. 🤓

WhatchaGot2Say

Hell yeah! COME ON‼️

WhatchaGot2Say

Truth! In my comments I was far from a loss of words. I get your reference to Tupac on so many levels. Music makes the world go round man, however it reaches you.. Suga mentions throughout us. Whatever we hope for and how we get there. Truth man!

Also, Yoongi has said in the past, "Don't watch us through your cell phone, watch us with your eyes".

GUYS you weren't just BLESSED, You ASCENDED!!

I really, really value how raw you three are willing to get with us. Thank you so much for allowing us to share this honest moment with you. It was powerful to see how deeply the song and video touched all of you, especially Blaze. A lot of people will explain this video to you, but I want to make a note about the main theme of the lyrics. The lyrics echo familiar sentiments of Yoongi's; these are actually things he's been mentioning since 2018. He specifically made the leaping metaphor first (to my knowledge) during the 2018 Festa dinner when he spoke about how he was frightened of what would happen to him after his fame disappeared—after he "fell"—and it really stuck in my mind. I wasn't surprised when this theme kept reappearing. He made another flying metaphor relating to fame and fear during the Season 2 finale episode of Run BTS where the boys wrote poems, then again in the lyrics of Halsey's recent track, Suga's Interlude. It's possible that he's mentioned it even more and I'm just forgetting. The lyrics and subject matter of the song, for me, they feel expected, or... honestly even more than that? Like... well-trodden territory. For me, most of the interest in the first half of the song lies in the immense beauty of the hook's melody and the usage of the instrumental from Intro: O!RUL8,2? It's the second half that slaps the shit out of me 😲 That's totally new territory. And I have the same sentiment about the back half of Shadow that I have about the back half of Persona: While many people seem to think these two songs are lyrically downers, the back halves are what send them rocketing back up. It may be harder to understand in Shadow, but even though this is where Shadow Yoongi begins to talk and even though this is where the MV becomes dark and imposing, this is actually the most powerful and hopeful moment of both the song and the video. The Shadow—the thing Yoongi has been running from, the reason he didn't want to fall—is saying, "You'll be at ease if you admit it / Succeed or fail, whichever way you flow / You can't escape, wherever you go / I am you, you are me, now you know." And to me... Just like Blaze said (although he may not have meant it this way), the growth that shows is humongous. All of that may sound ominous and predatory. But in his old solo project, Agust D, Yoongi has a lyric in the song The Last that says, "Min Yoongi is dead. I killed him." To go from attempting to murder parts of yourself to, four years later, realizing that the only way to achieve happiness is to stitch yourself back together... How is that not a song about self-realization? How is that not a song that ends on a note of hope? That shows someone learning the truth? The back half of that song is Yoongi being led to his own salvation, and to that I say: Rock the fuck on.

I love how you guys take this in and interpret it in your way, which is what the guys wanted with their music. RM said awhile ago, that they don't like to explain their music because they want us to interpret it in our own way. This is my first comeback too and it's really exciting to be experiencing this with everybody! I purple you guys, you nice keep going!

I loved this!! The fact that y’all went back and analyzed it really took it to another level. I feel like a lot of reaction channels don’t do that even though it’s so interesting as a viewer because that’s the same exact thing we do when we first watch a new video. I recommend watching xceleste’s explanation video for it if y’all haven’t picked one or several already! They always put so much symbolism and deeper meaning in their music and videos that watching a few different ones is probably a good idea if you have time. I agree with so much of y’all’s initial thoughts though! The dreams he had and the goals he set for himself are now a reality. Which he’s happy about and wouldn’t necessarily change at all because it really is everything he ever wanted. But where there is hope and success, there is also always hardship. The shadow is all of the fears/insecurities/doubts that follow him wherever he goes and the brighter the light shines on them and the higher they fly (meaning the more success and spotlight they get) the bigger the shadow gets. In the end the only thing to do is accept that that’s a part of you and overcome it to become who you are completely. Not only accepting your persona but also digging really deep and accepting your shadow too. Persona and Shadow are two sides of the same coin but ultimately they’re both a part of you. Sorry this was so long😅 I’m just so hyped about it lol I was right there with Blaze getting emotional! I was looking forward to y’all’s review all day and y’all are right! Patience pays off!
