Daily Update 4/6

Today has been a long day. For you all it was more like 2 days, but for me it was alot more. Since my last update I got somewhere between 4-5 hours of sleep then workedfor 15 hours straight on animations for Her Fall. Then I kid you not, building a chicken coop for 8 hours, then back to getting animations which I have been doing since 11pm Last night. The only breaks I took was a 20 minute food break, and a half hour break to help with changing the oil in a family members vehicle.

So very busy much work. But 550ish animations later I have every animation done for all of chapter 8. Though I still need to do the end game scenes that give a hint about the next chapter as per usual. Though I think that will only be like 50 or so renders needed for each route, so it wont take me too long. But I have been forcing myself to stay awake until I finished the animations and they are all done.

The reason I forced myself to work straight through was because I thought I had more time that I did to get the update out. I wanted to have it out by the update out by tomorrow. Which its looking like that may not be happening, Things that need to be done before the update can be released:

-Finish those Chapter ending route scenes(Will take about 4 hours)

- Rename and organize all the images and videos ( with the amount being added in this update... probably 4 hours.)

-Convert ALL the videos to WebM (Which has to be done 1 at a time.....Probably 2-3 Hours)

-Convert all the renders to WebP (Can easily be done in bulk so only takes like 5 mins)

-Add all the videos into the code so they can be called as images(With the amount of videos this will take about an hour or 2.)

-Add all the script dialogue and call the images. (Most of the dialogue is completed already though some sex scenes I left blank, because I generally just wing it with those anyways, but that doesnt mean it doesnt take time. So this will take me around 8 hours.)

-Create all the screens and link them all together (Probably around another 6-8 hours)

- Do a quick speedrun test to try to see if the game crashes, if it does fix that. (Usually around an hour or 2)

So in essence I am looking at somewhere around 30 hours of straight work. Should be able to get most everything done tomorrow, but that means I am looking at a late in the day Monday release to patreon at the earliest. Depending on how everything goes though it could be on Tuesday. But it will be done as soon as possible. I also don't see this getting the alpha release of MH behind schedule though so thats good at least.

Then there is also the list of stuff I want to get done before I personally feel like the chapter is done. But I am willing to do the early patreon release before adding these in, but not willing to do a public release without them.

- Add the audio
- Remake the Main Menu Image
- Learn how to Make some Fan banner things for f95zone then make them.

Now all of this is a big reason why going forward I will be releasing updates in the form of Scenes and not chapters. Mainly because I am enjoying making the chapters longer. I mean take a second and go back to playing the early chapters of the game, and compare their length to the length of Chapter 7. Hell chapter 7.5 on its own was over double the length of what the chapters used to be, and thats only half the chapter. And going forward the chapters are only going to continue getting longer. Especially with the branching routes I have already added and the ideas I had yesterday to make 2 new endings with another branch in chapter 10.

So yea. If you enjoy the game then you should be happy that its going to be continuing for longer than I originally planned. Well I will see you all tomorrow. At least now we have a checklist of shit that needs done. So I can reference it and check stuff off as we go that way people have a better idea about when it will be ready. I will be adding the todo list to the Discord and be updating live. So check the discord out if you havent already. I will throw up animations for the paid members on here as soon as I wake up.

I am just way to tired to go about making another post and converting them to gifs and all that.
