I recommend reading this article for context. Patreon is now mandating that creators switch to a subscription based approach, so instead of everyone being charged on the first of the month, everyone will be charged on the monthsary of the day they subscribed. So for example, if you joined on October 8, 2024, your next month's subscription will now be charged on November 8, 2024 instead of the first of every month. This is apparently due to a new Apple policy.

Patreon just announced that Apple will be upcharging an extra 30% (OUCH) on every new subscription. Which means they will either increase my tier prices by 30% on the app, or 30% will be automatically deducted from my earnings from Apple subscribers. To prevent this, new patrons must subscribe through the website only and avoid paying through the app.

NOTE: CURRENT PATRONS WILL NOT BE AFFECTED BY THIS CHANGE, only new subscribers <3
