Hey guys,
Fitting Room Halloween play-test build will be up shortly.
Thanks to all the new Patrons we got recently! Please enjoy Fitting Room, unfortunately there's no real tutorials or instructions to get started yet, so if you guys have any issues, please post or join the Discord to ask.

Here's some quick info for new VR players to get started with this build -
- You can touch the Paint Swatches in the lobby to change the interior decor of the room
- You can touch the Light Switch to change between Halloween Lighting and Default Lighting
- Most of the items you can pick up can be placed on your Character as Accessories. The color of these can then be changed in the Accessories tab of the Fitting Room UI
- While holding Accessories, the Vive Trackpad can be used to resize them**
- To change the hair style, there's a book to the left of the Fitting Room menu under the school uniform items. Turn the pages and select styles by clicking
- Move UI elements by grabbing the blue cross icon
- You can pick up the phone and take high-res photos with the Vive Trackpad or the Touch Thumbstick. The photos will be saved out into the game dir *\VirtualNovel\Content\Custom\Photos* The phone is experimental and may cause a performance hit when used!!
- You can replace the images in *VirtualNovel\Content\Custom\FR* with your own pics and they'll show up on the pinboard in the game. They must be named the same and be .jpg to work.

Controls for new Patrons
Locomotion
- Thumbstick (Rift) Trackpad (Vive) to move traditionally, on the motion controller with Feet icon - or
- Point and Trigger press to teleport, on the motion controller with Feet Icon
- Grip button and pan / rotate controller to rotate, on the controller with Feet icon
Interaction
- Trigger on the motion controller with Hand icon to pick things up and drop things
- Grip button to readjust props while held
Modes
- Shoulder button (Vive) or A button (Rift) to swap between Feet mode and Hand mode. Long press to open the Settings Menu
- Point and Trigger press menu elements to select them
- Point and Trigger press when within range of UI elements to interact with buttons and sliders

Fitting Room is a work-in-progress and proof-of-concept! Please don't expect an entirely polished experience ^^ If you run into any game breaking issues let us know, but otherwise here's a list of minor bugs and quality issues that we're aware of and will fix at some point:
- **Rift users can't currently resize accessories, this is a high priority issue, and a fix will be in the next release of Fitting Room
- There's a visible seam between the leg and the hip on some outfits
- The arms / hands clip through some dresses and skirts
- When using the Light Switch, there is a visible texture pop-in and potentially a brief hang depending on your hardware
- The game performance can seem bad on start up, but should resolve itself after a brief period (5-10 seconds)
- Some hair styles which use Dynamic Physics can bug out
- The Shark swimsuit has some visible polygons missing on the skin
- Putting some combinations of clothing on characters can cause clipping
- Some outfits need skinning improvements, clipping can occur during animation
- It's possible to accidentally turn all the lights off in Fitting Room when using the light switch. This bug should be rare!

For Non-VR players:
This build supports Non-VR play, but with limited support! Non-VR players should be able to do everything that VR players can, but place accessories and using some UI items like the Hair Style book are designed with motion controllers in mind, so is quite difficult to do well in non-VR mode. Dressing the characters and using the main Fitting Room UI should work well though. To pick up items, click and hold while pointing the camera at them. There's no crosshairs currently, so it's easy to miss or pick up the wrong thing, sorry!
The Private Build link will be up after this post, along with a link to the private Virtual Novel Discord. We're active in there and take requests and suggestions from the community (many of the items in this build of Fitting Room were community requests!) So please join us on there if you want to be more active in Virtual Novel's development.
Thanks and happy Halloween,
