❤️ Things That Might Cheer You Up ❤️

Practical: 

- Take a shower/bath. The power of personal hygiene should not be underestimated. 

- Eat something. Anxiety, depression and sadness all thrive on a empty stomach. Combat them with protein, fat, fruits and veggies, and a good dollop of sugar too. 

- Change your bed/tidy your room. Your space is very important. Make it clean and tidy, with a relaxing ambience. Hoover, spritz and light those candles. 

- Brush your teeth. Those pearlies need a scrub. Good breath will help you feel more confident in your own skin. 

- Write tomorrow's to-do list. Getting your tasks down on paper is a great step in making them happen.

- Empty your trash bag. Out with the garbage, in with the harmony.  

- Play your music. Let your mind wander, clean up your space, or do the chicken dance around your room. However it does, let the music move you. 

- Journal. Got too many thoughts? Get them out of you and onto some paper. Or if you hate your handwriting like me, type them out on your computer. 

- Organise your wardrobe. Mine needs doing so bad. I might even do it tonight. Nothing soothes me more than folded t shirts and organised underwear. Yeah, I really am that rock n roll. 

- Do the thing. And by thing I mean your hobby. Play on your computer, pick up that book, paint those tiny figurines. Remember: if you enjoy it, it's not a waste of time. 

Indulgent:

- Watch a comfort movie. Got a favourite film? How about one you haven't seen in years, but absolutely love? Put on your pj's, grab some snacks and let your mind be soothed by the familiar and the nostalgic.

- Do skincare/body self-care. Moisturise your skin, style your hair, buff your feet and clip your toe nails. Take care of you. 

- Make yourself a hot chocolate. Top it with marshmallows and whipped cream. Tis the only way to feel like an absolute slut. And I mean that in the best possible way. 

- Stay in your room all night. If you're in a good mood, bad mood, sad mood, kinda half mad mood, alone time can be really healing and therapeutic. Be weird in your room and don't apologise for it. Just keep yourself safe and grounded and know that it's okay to recharge from the world. 

- Find a sexy movie/series to squeal over. This can be p*rn, but doesn't have to be. Just something that gets your juices flowing and your romantic scenarios spinning out of control. Most of us have goblin feelings, and we absolutely should be allowed to indulge them in the privacy of own bedrooms. Personally, I'm loving BL Korean dramas right now. Two hot guys falling in love, and I'm not involved in any way shape or form? Yes, please. 100% indulgence, 0% reality. Just how I like it. At least when it comes to my goblin feelings :) 

- Laugh at memes at 3AM. Can't sleep? Me neither. But that's why the internet capitalised on our shared weakness and invtented meme compliations. That 3AM laugh really does just hit different.

Imma be honest the power of routine is truly underestimated around online circles so I'm glad it being shown here When doing a routine no matter what you might be feeling at the moment you are likely to return to the state of mind you most commonly associate with a morning routine which for a lot of people is serenity and even if for you it isnt like that theres always the fact that you've likely done this so many times you can't fail at it no matter your situation which brings a fat w and decent amounts of funny brain chemicals that can soothe any overflow to an extent

I enjoy writing my NSFW script and listening to music does help releax. I don't listen to traditional music but lately I've really been into a band called King Crimson. Their Songs the Court of the Crimson King, Moon Child, Epitaph and 20th century schizoid man are really good. Moon Child is like some ASMR.
