And I Ooo...

Man: Yeah, I need a girl who can keep me in line.

Me, the product of a selfish, shitty man: KEEP YOURSELF IN LINE, YOU TWAT! Sorry, you were probably just being playful. This isn't about you, but seriously, work on yourself, go to therapy, look for an equal, not a handler.

And I Ooo...

Whether in friendships or relationships, your good partners or friends will be there to tell you the things that you need to hear, not what you want to hear. Sometimes it’s not a bad thing to have someone you’re close to telling you when you’re not being yourself or your acting out of character. But, of course, most of the time we should always strive to keep ourselves in check. And more than anything we don’t need to act like children, who need a babysitter either.

I don't think I understand, and I'm afraid of what it means... Like, is femdom stuff under that umbrella...? Is asking for someone to make certain decisions for me, not "keeping myself in line"...? "Keep yourself in line", what does that mean?! Or am i reading too much into this... X_X

Honestly, some of us probably need a girl who will lovingly push us to step out of line just a little bit.

im defense its not so much about control as it is that I have no faith in my ability to make choices so I just prefer to let others I trust make them. since I often feel like any decision I make well be wrong.

Tea once again saying valuable advice.

I'd be happy with a girl who would just ask me out XD But yeah, I'd rather keep myself in line over requiring someone to do it for me, as soon as they have an off day I fall off my own bandwagon? Asking for failure.

A few months ago at a check up my doctor told me I needed to manage my weight better. She then asked if I had a GF. I said no and she told me "Well the we'll get you one so you can get yourself together." You read that right BTW, my doctor is a woman and she suggested I needed a GF to take care of me!

I think that just asking for clear communication. And that's great. I do that a lot because there's so much room for misinterpretation in relationships. I think I come across as quite slow, especially when I'm like "okay, just checking this is what you meant.." :D

In my case it's less "Keep me in line" and more "My brain has some crossed wires and I need things explained to me cuz I might not get what you're meaning otherwise."

Yeah I don't get people who want someone to keep them on a leash, like work on yourself. You'll realize that you are your worst enemy.
