Decoration lasers | Stronger than you think...

Last video of this year and decade, and it's a big one! I take a look inside four decoration/garden/Christmas lasers, and test them with the laser power meter you all helped me buy.

Can you guess how powerful the lasers inside them are? They are all labeled Class 2  under 1 mW, but...

I also found some features inside, I did not expect to find in such cheap lasers.

I am sorry about the lack of impact sounds in the patron clip. My editing software/computer has apparently reached the limit for how many simultaneous sound effects it can render...

I did not expect to have this many Dream-level patrons - and I especially did not expect to have more Dream patrons than Credited patrons!

I may need to rethink how I credit you all. Thank you very much for the overwhelming support! More than my editing rig can handle :o)

Happy New Year! See you in 2020.

Hi Tamas! No, I have not heard of that candy bar. According to the Wikipedia article the iron must come from cow's blood. I doubt the iron can be 'felt' as iron particles. From blood the iron is most likely in the form of hemoglobin, which has very weak magnetic responses. I doubt the bar overall would be attracted by a magnet, but would like to test it if possible.

Hi! Have you heard of Hematogen? It's a Russian candy bar or something like that. They used it to battle iron deficiency in people. They say the iron can be felt and tasted even in the candy bar. Do you think a magnet would detect the iron content of it? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hematogen

Happy New Year to you too, Kathy :) As mentioned, I have not used them for the intended purpose. Too 'fairgroundish' for me for Christmas, but they work well for a party etc. I have not seen a hair removal product for home use that actually contain a laser. The ones sold in Denmark are IPL types with a xenon flash bulb (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intense_pulsed_light), but they are often marketed as a laser product...

Happy new year! It's surprising to me that anyone is willing to shoot lasers at their house, and scary that those lasers might be so powerful to cause retinal damage! It reminds me though, have you ever come across home laser hair removal products? I'm curious to know how they compare power-wise.
