Special hourglass near a magnet
Added 2019-11-24 18:10:42 +0000 UTCNext weekend I will release a new video, where I play around with an hourglass. Not a normal hourglass, but one where the sand is magnetic!
I would like to hear, how you think the hourglass will react above a powerful magnet: Will the timing be affected? And if so, will the hourglass run faster or slower?

Hi Andrew! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. There's definitely a limit to how fast the sand can run through the bottle neck. The air inside also has to pass in the other direction. This is not a simple question ;o) Answer coming Friday.

2019-11-25 02:00:30 +0000 UTCHi Sarge. If the timing is affected, the placement should matter. I know I'm not giving you much info, but I do mention 'above a powerful magnet', so with the magnet under the hourglass. Have a free and anonymous guess :o) I just want to know peoples' gut reaction.
