But why is he so eager to jump into dating over and over again? And, beyond that, why are his wives so VASTLY different people, both when they started dating and after they broke up? I think that we can all agree that Mr. Peanutbutter likes to be liked. But, honestly, I think his internal need to people-please goes a bit farther than just "wanting people to have fun". He NEEDS to have people around him who prop him up. And if those relationships aren't going well, he sinks into depression. His happiness is based almost entirely on how other people are doing and who he's currently dating. NOT HEALTHY- but extremely realistic, as many people in the real world deal with sociotropic tendencies. Plus, he was able to grow past it! Such a good boy.
