When I was in my younger adult life I lived for over a year homeless, living out of my car in what's called a very dangerous city. In one way he reminds me of Uncle Stan, at his core, it's always about family. Stan has few redeeming traits (Hop Pop has many more), but protecting his family is key. Thats something Ann doesnt quite get.

Huzzah! Another ‘Yay’ for the new intro! I’ve filmed a few more episodes after this already so forgive me that it takes me a second to warm up to the intro. But now that I know you guys like it I’ll start recording the intro with full gusto!!! WAIT A MINUTE. I never even thought about the TYPE of cheese! Omg if it were blue cheese I’d never survive. This is a very important detail to this choice…. Very fair point about the characters, as well. I feel similarly, although Sprig has made me laugh the most at this point so he’s just my favorite by default. Dark! That is an EXCELLENT point about using the sulfur smell to your advantage in Amphibia! (Also, is the world/land they’re in actually called ‘Amphibia’? I haven’t been sure what to call it). Lots of delays & angry passengers… You win some you lose some with the flight attendant life lol. I absolutely agree! Idk what I was expecting from this show but its humor really has won me over in these first few episodes. Yes! Total Mabel and Dipper vibes 🥺 awkward sibling hug! *pat pat* WAIT I didn’t even consider the cheese sweat while working out! Omg the treadmill would be a nacho fountain by the time I was finished with it…. This may change things for me 🤣 I genuinely look forward to sitting down to watch episodes of this show. Awe I love the new introoo!! I’m gonna be ribbit-ing along with you every week mate rest assured!😁😂 I’d honestly not really thought too much about the owl house theme before you put it up in comparison with this and GF but yeah, I really can just take it or leave it😆 I haven’t looked up any Gravity Falls variations yet but I remember there was this really calm, serene version at the end of one of the episodes that I LOVED!🤩 Something else that I really love is this show so far!🌟 It’s just so nice yk, I could honestly be okay with things not escalating in any way if every episode was this funny and cute lol. Fr though I was DYING throughout this reaction, episode 4 especially was just hilarious. Sprig’s face when he said “I can leave MY towels on the floor of MY room” immediately comes to mind😂 also that one face that you did an impression of and made it even funnier than it already was!!🤣🤣 I really hope the animation in this show sticks to this beautifully exaggerated and more fluid animation style it’s gone with here. So many great shows I feel like lose a little of their initial charm as the seasons go on and they get a better budget. SpongeBob or the Simpsons are ones I’d go with as examples where, they were SO creative with every single frame in those earlier seasons and left so much room for each character to be really expressive, most of the time in the name of comedy! That unique ability to shape your characters face or entire body in anyway you want I feel like is what makes animation such a beautiful and limitless art form! Not that newer SB or the Simpsons isn’t great and there are so many examples of shows that haven’t sacrificed any of their original charm for a more “realistic” look and feel, I just really like it so far with Amphibia! I hope that made sense and didn’t just sound like some crazed rant, Sprigs facial expressions just crack me up and I want more of it😂 I wonder if that little tangent Hop pop went on about sharing a room was simply just a joke or if that was actually a little hint to a possible ex partner, maybe we’ll see them at some point in the future? a BIT OF A REACH I know but it’s early days yet I’m looking for any potential predictions here LOL I’m going with the hiccups over rotten eggs any day, of course I need to smell nice but I’ve actually got a decent track record with getting rid of hiccups! I know, I can only imagine how impressed you look right now😏😅 Unless they’re like magic hiccups that you can’t prevent, that would be pretty bad🤣 nowhere near as bad as smelling of rotten eggs though so yeah 100% final answer is hiccups! As for the other question, sweating melted cheese is something I don’t ever want to even consider again and I actually can’t decide which is worse😭😅 There was one more would you rather in this episode that I’d love to know your answer to: Would you rather have a splinter you could never get out, or get bitten by a mosquito once a day? I’ve actually been lucky enough to get to this point in my life and have never been bitten by a mosquito, we don’t have them over here and I’ve only really seen them visiting places like Turkey. the 4th is the series "establishment" episode. SprAnne is the team name that will commonly be used throughout the series, hence this is really a show about Anne learning good friendship qualities through Sprig. If anyone hasn't told you yet, BE READY THIS SHOW GETS PRETTY DARK FOR DISNEY STANDARDS LATER ON.

I like the new intro! So, to the WYRs. For the first it would depend on what cheese I was sweating. If it was something that had little to no scent, like mozzarella, I'd go with that. If it was something like limburger then no way. But then I'd have to smell like a skunk. In that case, I'd just bomb the whole world with skunk nukes so everyone would smell as bad as I did and then it wouldn't make any difference. For the second, definitely hiccups. The smell of rotten eggs is awful. But, as you said, it also depends on the frequency of the hiccups. If it's every second for the rest of my life, I'd have to go with the rotten eggs because the hiccups would be eternal torture. I guess I could just exchange the skunk nukes with rotten egg nukes. *shrug* With regards to the characters, I don't think I really have a favorite yet. It's mostly a fun and lighthearted show thus far, so there isn't as much of a quick emotional connection with characters like there would be in other shows. But I really do love the interactions between them all. So it's a more holistic connection vs character specific connection.

I like the intro, it's cute. For the first WYR sweat melted cheese. Now the 2nd WYR it's kind of a toss up as I absolutely hate having hiccups because before I learned an almost sure fire to stop it I sometimes would have hiccups for hours on end. But as far as the smelling like rotten eggs thing goes humans can't usually smell themselves it's a detail left from evolution your brain ignores your own smell in order to smell other things. Also I've seen what kind of animals live in Amphibia smelling like sulfur might make you less likely to be eaten. lol

The look of Sprig's stunned into silence exasperation when Anne munches on her snacks is one of my favorite moments in this episode 🤣. I know it's a cartoon but honestly they lost me a little bit with the fight against the river lampreys ^^ Did you ever try to SWING a pillow underwater let alone hard enough to knock something OUT of the water 🤣 I know I know suspension of disbelief and everything but I couldn't help a little eyeroll there hehe. That being said this is nitpicking on the highest level as both of these episodes were super fun. As for the WYRs on both questions I'm gonna have to go with the smell because while it would obviously suck HARD at least you yourself would adapt to the smell. Also I don't know about you but I don't just sweat from my armpits, if you consider forehead sweat and sweating from your scalp and it gets into your hair or sweating around your tender bits or your feet and you walk around in cheese all day I feel like all of a sudden sweating melted cheese becomes WAY less tolerable😋 And on the face of it hiccups might sound better than smelling like a skunk but as someone who has had hiccups once for 18 hours and once for around 12 I wanted to die honestly obviously everyone has their own tresholds for stuff but you can barely drink or eat without inhaling a bunch of nonsense and honestly it REALLY starts to hurt after a few hours because your muscles aren't supposed to do that frantic movement a lot breathing starts to hurt swallowing starts to hurt it's the worst...around hour 6 or 7 the first time around I was basically just sobbing uncontrollably while trying to fall asleep because I just didn't want to consciously exist anymore 😁 No joke if you asked me if I'd rather chop off a finger or have hiccups again for 18 hours straight zero hesitation that finger is gone girl! Fuck hiccups. Every time I get hiccups now I get PTSD flashbacks and am afraid if it'll go away or not. 🤣 Clearly I've given way too much thought to the first question lol and the second one was a hard learned lesson. Ok this is super off topic but I HAVE to talk to someone about this lol. I've recently listened to one of the Harry Potter audio books for the gazillionth time and all of a sudden it hit me... Are all of the kids who grew up in Wizard households morons? 🤣 Hear me out...the muggle kids start school at around age 6 where they learn like math, geography history and stuff but there is NO SCHOOL for wizard kids until age 11 holy shit. And even then they only learn about magical shit, they don't have math there or English or geography. How did I never think about this before... Yes you could argue they homeschool their kids but how did they learn it if they also never went to a "normal" school are you gonna tell me they learned everything from their parents since the beginning of time 😋 No way... By generation 3 at THE LATEST the whole thing is going to turn into a game of Telephone and nobody gets shit right anymore lol. I think this explains why Mr. Weasley thinks a 20 pound note is a 5 pound note when paying for camping at the Quidditch World Cup...did he never learn NUMBERS?! 🤣 I was listening to it to fall asleep and once I had this realization I was wide awake and couldn't sleep for hours haha. I felt like I woke up from the Matrix. Edit: Oh and I dig the new intro 😁 In my mind I had wished you had actually "ribbited" instead of using the onomatopoeia but then I realized oh yeah that's just how you do it in English haha...for the record in German the frog says quak with a long "a" and the "a" is pronounced like "ahh" not like "ayy", so quak is also an onomatopoeia just each country has their own pretty much 🐸 So yeah never mind me you did ribbit my brain just didn't register it because ours is so different hehe.

Im sold on the new intro - cheese/hiccup. They're living in a swamp, I guess smells are on their minds a lot. I love Hop Pop, instead of being a one dimensional grump he really can admit he's wrong or at least get over his anger... and the kids do give him a lot of reason to be angry. Moreover, he is really accepting of Ann who is more than a handful. He is trying his best with his grand kids (this is a really dangerous world) and Ann is stretching his patience to the limit... but he keeps stretching along with her! Hop Pop has made her a member of his family but Ann doesnt get it.

OK this show has already grown on me! The comedy in this show, as you stated, is really top tier! From jokes/gags to the delivery, Like last week's set, this has had me laughing almost the entire time, and I'm loving this friendship that Sprig and Anne has/is developing. Giving some really feel good vibes, and somewhat in a way reminds me of Dipper and Mabel's sibling friendship. Now as for the WYR questions, for the first, this one's especially bad because I'm a kind of scent person myself. I like to wear cologne so the skunk one is a definite no for me. But I'm also a fitness enthusiast and like to work out and stuff so sweating melted cheese would be an absolute nightmare. As for the rotten eggs and the hiccups, it's hard pass on the rotten eggs, so gonna have to go with the hiccups, as annoying as they are. Anyways this was a pretty good week! I know a lot of people said these first several episodes and whatnot are pretty slice of life, but if they're of this quality I don't even mind because this is a very good stress relief and all in all a very good time.
