Good News!!1!!

I found an apartment! Its all small and stuff but its a new apartment! The rent isn't cheap but its the only one I can find that's vacant. I've contacted the person to reserve me the cheapest room they have until I get there. Of course, reservations would cost extra but we've agreed on a compromise: The owner can let others use that room until I arrive.

Bad news: Its a long trek from here to there.

I gave it some thought if its worth the effort going there. It would literally take me a week just to get there (gonna walk it out since walking and commuting would end up me spending more money AND it would pretty much take the same time to get there) and I don't want to sleep on the streets with all my valuables exposed for everyone to snatch. Seeing as I've already settled in this storage room, I guess it'd be fine if I wait another month to stock up and plan my route.

Another good news! The computer I've always rented out got broken, or atleast the owner thought it was broken. The owner said that if I could fix it, I'll be able to use it for free if no one's renting it! Its not the best. My old stolen netbook's more powerful than the computer, but if it means I get to keep a temporary computer for free until I leave for the apartment, I'm taking the chance!

Turns out, everything works fine except that the screen turns yellow and whatnot. When I was about to dismantle it just to check if there was anything else need fixing, I started unplugging the things at the back. I found out that the computer was using a DVI-I to VGA adapter because the GPU doesn't have a VGA socket. The adapter itself is all broken. The plastic thing that's coating it is all dirty, the screw thingy on the sides are gone with signs of someone trying to rip it apart.

Thing is, I need a DVI-D to VGA adapter which is incredibly hard to find. And all the stores here only sell DVI-I. I was wondering of buying a DVI-I to VGA adapter and I'd just remove the four pins from the DVI-I so that it'd fit in the DVI-D socket. Anywho, that's pretty much it for now.
