The first few pages of the current Steeple story were drawn back in February when I was very feeble following a very bad bout of flu/early COVID-19 (who knows?) so I'm tidying them up for eventual collection. The first page had quite a lot of amends so I thought it might be fun to look at the original and the fixes side-by-side. Someone always likes the original more. But that person is never me.

There were some weak compositions in the original, and I'd not quite got back to grips with the characters, so I tried to tighten it up. Having to go back and fix the start of a comic is not unusual. By the end, you know the characters much better.

[ADDENDUM: for clarity, the first one is the revision! I thought the top down angle in the first panel of the original was a bit flat, Penrose was too small and weak looking, and my drawings of Magus Tom lacked "attack")
